It won't happen. Too much money involved, both in terms of transfer fee and wages.

Berardi, A. Gomes and one of Vrsaljko/De Sciglio were my predictions for the Summer. Looks like we're getting Berardi and Vrsaljko and I keep fingers crossed for Gomes coming too. We don't need revolution, just adding what we're missing.
Dude Valencia is crazy if they think we'll give them 30m and Zaza.
Those spaniards must have some problems.

I don't think our management wants revolution either but their hand may be forced should Real take Morata and Chelsea take Cuadrado. It would start a bit of a chain reaction in transfers for us.
Yeah, that's why we buy Berardi, who basically will be Dybala's sub and at the same time Morata's replacement. I know most people in here hate that solution but it'll most likely happen. Cuadrado goes but we bring in the 'eclectic' midfielder, be it Gomes, Pjanic or someone else. We move from flat 442 to 4312 and everyone's happy. Vrsaljko/De Sciglio will be RB/RWB and that would be it IMO.

We want to give them 30m + 20m bonuses and I think it could be done somewhere around those numbers. Maybe 40m + 10m, I don't know but he's our target it seems. If it doesn't happen we'll look for someone else, no problem.

Dude we will never pay a 50m fee for an unproven midfielder. NEVER.
In a few weeks when Gomes will go elsewhere for that fee you'll realise.
If we didn't lose Cuadrado and Morata and had just to sell subs and make improvements we could invest our money on one big player. But not like that.

I'd wager 2 weeks BAN if we get Andrè Gomes for a global fee of 40m or more.

Because we need to split our money between a striker , 1 right back and 2 midfielders

I think you could be in for a big surprise. He fits the bill for us to spend 'big' on him. I don't say we will if the management think he's worth it then I'm all for it.

why is he worthy of a fee higher than what we got from Vidal???

If he were on a 30m fee sure i could agree but anything above that is madness!

The market changes rapidly. We either accept it or not but it won't change. Gomes could be last year's Dybala, someone who we see as worthy of the investment. Young, very promising player that we could get on lower wages. That's why I said you could be in for a surprise.

Andre Gomes torched Real Madrid twice this season, and played well against Barca as well. I wouldn't call him unproven per se. Especially in that first leg against Real at home he was by far the best midfielder on the pitch, outplaying both Modric and Kroos. The Barca midfield struggled with his strength as well. He's unproven on the European stage, but in Spain he's been ballin.

We're linked with Mirante as expected with the new HG rules. Leali being linked to Palermo might also open the door for Sorrentino.

Hopefully, one of them will say yes. Mirante esp because he'd be a long-term HG backup solution. At 37, Sorrentino has only 2-3 years left.

Season officially starts on July 1 I think. Diawara turns 19 later in July. So, he will start next season as an 18 yo(?).

If we sign him, he'll be a club HG player in 3 yrs' time, right?
Nope, you need to have 3 seasons spent at the same club before you turn 21. if his birthday is around the beginnings of the season that means he would spend only 2 seasons here + few weeks/months. Hes a year late

If we get Pjanic. I wouldn't bother if we send Mandra+New Brazilian Pereira to empoli in order to decrease Saponara fee cuz right now I don't trust a bit in Pereyra. However the argentine is young and only had one bad season, so I don't think he would be sack.

At the end, if we don't sack Pereyra I dont want Sapo here.

"Messi alla Juve, un sogno possibile" ... But we have Dybala :tuttosport: now, so we'd prefer Neymar, if Jesus himself can't play for Juve. :D

I don't want to see Morata leave. Keep our important players first and finish those neat :beppe: swaps.

If we can swap Asamoah and Cuadrado - RB/RWB problem is solved for the next season. Even if we have to add some cash - this seems like the best deal so far.

What's the difference?
Cuadrado would cost us about 25 mil, much more than what his probable replacement will cost...
Morata would cost us about 10-15 mil, while losing him would hand us 30 mil...

That's 70 mil right there. So I'd argue big investments are probably NOT happening if those stay. In the other situation; there's more room to play.

25 for Berardi, leaving 45 for a midfielder and a RB and that's not selling anyone or investing a penny we didn't gain by letting the both of them go.

if can even keep morata anda cuadrado we need to a good MF and a good forward(finisher) Regarding the dip in form or injury how long can they stay fit and consistent is another question we need to buy at least two top players for compete in the CL , at some point it's imaginable that we have to add a higher wage tier to keep our key players and plus get the key players for compete with top clubs at their level.

To pay anything more then 30 million for Gomes would be a dumb move. Even more so when you can get a midfielder like Pjanic for 38.
