I'm a fan of Cuadrado though. And I think my apprehension for signing Cuadrado at the time was how we were intending to line up after Allegri had gone on all summer about an AM, that too after letting the only other natural winger on the team move to Bayern. I'm sure you'll agree, even Allegri was a bit confused at the start of the season. Hindsight is 20-20 but it took a lot out of us to finally get it right, and even then, it took some doing.
Agree, Cuads was frustrating to watch at first... It was krasic all over again

But we did fit him in. Even at the beginning of the season when we didn't know the exact formation yet we managed to find a place for him on the right. It's easy to fit in anyone when you're a good coach and get a great young player willing to fight for his spot. Look how smooth he handled Morata last and Dybala this season when in both cases people were attacking him and asking for them to play. So you can either trust Allegri to find room for a new young player or break your head over thinking where we would play him. I chose the 1st

Cuadrado played the RWB/LWB role at Fiorentina sometimes in a 3-5-2.
Berardi played mostly as a winger, few times as SS.
So MAYBE he''ll be Paulo's sub.

Honestly, I genuinely don't see Berardi play much more of a role than that of Dybala's sub. And for that role alone, I think Sansone will be a less tedious option. That apart, 25m is a lot of money for a player who is not going to be adaptable enough to play as RWB in A 352 which by the looks of the Andre Gomes pursuit still very much looks like our current formation of choice.

If we lose Cuadrado we are better suited for a 43something anyway. An AM and Berardi with the current 4 strikers (Jesus if Morata leaves) will be better than 352. Sansone is 25 already and appart from his beginnings in Bayern only ever played for low class Italian clubs. I understand why you think he would be a good bench option but we are looking for more than that, we are looking for players that can come in and change the game for us and replace the starters when needed with the talent to become starters themselves one day if developed correctly. Berardi is becoming such a player and that's why we are getting him and not Sansone

Dude... Andre Gomes will cost us around 40-50mils, and Sansone is another winger, and since Berardi most definetely gone this summer, i can't see Sassuolo sell him for cheap. If i had to choose between Berardi & Sansone, i'll go for Berardi, he's a bit inconsistent, but he's 21 yo, and expected to carry Sassuolo.

Unlike last season when he had Zaza, when he can cut in whenever he likes, with Defrel he's playing more closer to sides line, so less goal are understandable.

If the reports are true, we should go for Pjanic, maybe higher wage, but with him we could easily playing 4312/352.

Anyway, judging from previous mercato, names like Andre Gomes & Pjanic doesn't look realistic. We wont go into auction (transfer fee & salary wise) with the likes of PSG, MU, etc.

Didn't you say the same about Cuadrado last summer? You didnt understand why we signed him and wondered how we would fit him in and we easily did it in the end. We WILL fit in Berardi and we won't make any significant adjustments either, he will adjust himself to us. Max got this
Now that's the best Berrardi argument I have heard to date.

We're linked with Mirante as expected with the new HG rules. Leali being linked to Palermo might also open the door for Sorrentino.

Hopefully, one of them will say yes. Mirante esp because he'd be a long-term HG backup solution. At 37, Sorrentino has only 2-3 years left.

Season officially starts on July 1 I think. Diawara turns 19 later in July. So, he will start next season as an 18 yo(?).

If we sign him, he'll be a club HG player in 3 yrs' time, right?

Why Duncan? He was a prospect at Inter but hasn't looked fantastic at Sassuolo. The only thing I can think of is as a direct Asamoah replacement, in his CM/LCM role.

Is he reliable? Wonder who will go there.
None of them are 100% accurate. But he is as good as it gets. Probably done dealio and I'm excited about it.

I can think of a few. Mandragora for starters. Pol Lirola if Vrsaljko leaves another, etc. Not on a permanent deal of course.

Quick question guys: If we lose Morata and Zaza and get Cavani and Jesus - how would you feel about that?
It won't happen. Too much money involved, both in terms of transfer fee and wages.

Berardi, A. Gomes and one of Vrsaljko/De Sciglio were my predictions for the Summer. Looks like we're getting Berardi and Vrsaljko and I keep fingers crossed for Gomes coming too. We don't need revolution, just adding what we're missing.

I don't think our management wants revolution either but their hand may be forced should Real take Morata and Chelsea take Cuadrado. It would start a bit of a chain reaction in transfers for us.
