I don't think they doubt his ability, just how he would fit in the side with our current group of forwards.

Thats what am thinking about, i think he is not our first option, more likely we are behind some deals with more suitable players but in case it didnt work out then he will come.

Half of that dozen is useless or is a surplus.

Hernanes, Asamoah, Padoin, Sturaro, Pereyra...this players had almost zero impact in our season.
This should not be this way. We must change at least 2 of them for world beaters who can directly contest the starters to create a competitive enviroment to force everyone to get better.

Isco's performance doesn't dip in big games. You don't know what you're talking about. Last big game he played was vs City, and he was one of the only four players on the pitch who did well.

Ozil completely disappears in any competitive game every single time.

No, he isn't. You can argue who's better. There's a wrong opinion there, but it's fine unless one says Ozil is "head and shoulders above" Isco. If you do that, then you're overrating Ozil and underrating Isco (aka being wrong about both players), and being silly like when you compared Saponara with Isco, lol.

Isco's performance vs city was mediocre at best. Typical Isco's performance includes dribbling past 1-2 players, holding the ball for too long and giving away possession. Ultimate ball hogger. Ozil might be lazy fuck, but atm he's level above Isco in terms of abilities.

Isco 3 goals, 10 assists, key passes 1.6 per game, 2400 minutes, goal/assist every 184 min

Isco has the potential to be better than Ozil! Hack I`d even say he has the potential of being way better than Ozil BUT for now Ozil is surely the better player and in terms of assists he`ll probably continue to be the better assist guy in the future!
Isco however is very special as he can have the Zidane effect in him he can lift the whole team up something that Ozil definitely doesnt possess!

Therefore if I had to choose I would pick Isco however both are great players and either will be great!

Asamoah was out for more than a whole season with 1 bad injury. It's only logical to get a few relapses when joining mid-season. With a full pre-season he can recover. As for Pereyra and Lemina; they only had 1 problem season...

Well, i think at the beggining it was naturally tougher because we had so many question marks to solve and commited mistakes on the process. Now the team not only have identity, but real quality to work with. This summer will continue the transition that started this year, but with a clearer idea of whats needed, i hope it will go smoother and we will pounce on our needs.

Did someone really claim seriously that Isco is better than Özil? The same Özil that played over a €68m player Kaka at Real? The same Özil that completely dominated at Real for three seasons? In a team that Isco has hardly had any kind of notable impact?

The offloading is a given and obvious IMO, but we need new midfielders.

We know what Asamoah and Pereyra can give us, and that clearly is not enought when shid gets real, at least not enought til this day. Yeah, they have margin to improve on this disastrous season, but the question is...how much more we have to wait for them to finally give us that needed final product?....and in case they do....it is worth the wait to the point of sacrificing the signing of potentially new and better players?.

Hernanes and Padoin are surpluses IMO (love you pado).... but we seriously need to sit down and discuss the futures of asamoah, struraro and Pereyra... and what if we receive 3 good offers for the 3 of them?. Are we in the position to reject them because "they will get better"?.
