Ouf, that's would be a dream signing. Use his Idol Buffon to convince him. :D
Offer them Zaza :howler:
It really should take no convincing. Replacing Gigi with the NT should be every italian keeper's wet dream. Replacing him at Juve is heaven. The question is whether milan would sell to us and at what price.

Regarding the Pogba and Marchisio debate. I think there's a difference between being a distributor (Marchisio) and playmaker (Pogba). The distributor usually has the most passes, while the playmaker has more assists. Some players can do both (Fabregas, Verratti etc).

In two years we should know if he's good enough or not. If he turns out to be then throw anything that's needed for him and you're set for the next 15-20 years.

Michael Carrick's contract is expiring. Could he be a short-term stop-gap for Marchisio? He has a ton of experience, is a great passer of the ball, and is solid defensively. His issue is he has lost a step. Fortunately, the Italian game is slower, and he could thrive.

Another potential free is Marchetti if we sell Neto. He'd be a good back-up to Gigi.

If we sell Neto id take Mirante. Hes our youth product and having 2 homegrown keepers would allow us to have an additional non homegrown player on the squad.

Donnarumma is 17 btw. If we sign him this or next summer he would count as a homegrown player once he turns 21

Bingo. distributing and keeping things moving doesnt necessarily make you a playmaker, you are when you have the vision and ability to make opening passes. Wether its direct assist or making splitting build up plays that lead to opening attacks immediately.

A playmaker is that player that receives the most passes from less technical and creative team-mates. The playmaker drops deep to collect he ball and he moves up the pitch distributing the ball. He is always roaming, making himself available to receive a pass. For this role we have Marchisio. Pogba is a technical CM with an appetite for goals and for that he goes forward often and this is the reason for him making assists, he's in the right place and has a good pass, good longball, and not very selfish. He's just very skilful and playing in the final third allows him to pass more direct, more decisive and his passing turns into assists, but this doesn't make him a playmaker.

Regarding that freebie list, weren't we interested in that Alisson GK a few months ago? Maybe he cat be a free Neto replacement.

Yep fair price but I don't believe the rumor at all. Chelsea are already short in that position and if Conte is looking to play with a three man midfield they need to sign quite a few in that position plus his value is really low at the moment compared to what it was just 12 months ago.

Mirante joined us in 2003 and he was 20 years old at the time so he's not homegrown, Leali and Audero are though
