I actually agree (well mostly) with one of your posts for once.

But there is no way we'd have been able to keep Vidal and Tevez and sign Alex Sandro and Dybala. Infact, Vidals sale pretty much funded Dybala's move.

I know but i just replied that if we wanted to upgrade last year team keeping Tevez and Vidal would've been a must. Not if we could or not.
Just imagine a 4-3-1-2 with Mandzu-Tevez and Dybala as Trequartista! and Sandro while having a mid trio with Pogba-Marchisio-Vidal and a bench with Khedira-Sturaro-Pereyra that would've been awesome.

I think both deals were just separate unrelated events. Vidal was sold way after and if he wouldn't have opted to play abroad, I'm sure we would have kept him.

Vidal was offered a 8m/year wage..... impossible to keep him while he was on 4,5m/year. Tevez for some unknown reasons (maybe family) wanted to go back in Argetina at all costs. Marotta-Nedved-Paratici-Agnelli knew since March and in fact we signed Dybala 6-7games before the end of the league. When he was benched without apparent reason.

I don't believe this and I don't believe that either.

We had Dybala bagged by April, followed by Beppes famous "our mercato consists of keeping key players" speech. It was the time when everybody believed we could keep all players AND buy some 1B quality trequartista because of 100mil CL revenue. After Vidal had been sold we spectacularly failed to accomplish our main task of purchasing an attacking midfielder and went to lick our wounds by signing woody woodpecker, zaza and hernanes. I firmly believe that without selling Vidal, giving away Nando and signing Zaza, Hernanes, Lemina we would have enough money for Sandro and Dybala.

Vidal sale should have brought us an attacking midfield but it didn't.

Yeah, once Vidal was offered those wages it would have been near impossible for us to match that. But I mean, I don't think we were in need to sell him for the transfer fee.

Tevez going back to Argentina might indeed be one of the reason why Dybala was wrapped up quick, I agree.

Isco or James for morata +20 mill or something would be great. Madrid is one of those teams that has a huge turnover of star players. We should always maintain a good relationship with them so that we first in line to take whoever they stupidly discard.

Boateng (extended lately until 2021 too) and Ribery (highest earner before with 12,5m gross) also earning more. Vidal gets definitely less than 12m€ gross, so he ll get around 6m€ net max.
