Juventus: all in for Cavani
By Football Italia staff

Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani is increasingly being linked to Juventus as Alvaro Morata is expected to head out.
Previous rumours that the Bianconeri would mount an assault for the Uruguayan striker in case the Spaniard left are being confirmed, once again, by new reports from multiple sources.

Both La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport published articles today suggesting that Cavani is the main target for the Old Lady in the next summer transfer window.

Morata's departure is now treated as a likelihood rather than a hypothesis, as the player is expected to be purchased back by Real Madrid for £30m and then sold again to a Premier League club for a higher price.
Juventus are expected to offer Cavani a four-year contract for €7m per season, which is just €1m short of what he currently earns with PSG.

:tuttosport:
-----------------------

It will be a blow if we see Morata go, but we are handtied on this one unless morata pulls a bunny from his hat and saves this mess.

Anyways, if we sell him...Cavani would be ideal. A forward with winning attitude who gives zero fuks and scores like crazy.

If morata wants to go one step ahead in his development, he needs to sort his mentality and turn into a decisive striker. I feel he struggles to get that killer instinct needed to be that man. Players like Cavani and Zaza got it, sadly zaza is no morata but with hardwork maybe he can even surpass him with goals.
i hope we can keep hold of Morata and dont sell him to hastily!

I don't know about the Cavani situation... Psg loosing Cavani, Ibra & Lavezzi in the same summer? What about a free van der Wiel as a Licht backup?

Davy Klaassen
Matip to Liverpool (from what I recall, good riddance) and Lavezzi to China. Besides old Ibra and Banega, wouldnt touch any of those...

Please no, he is so worse and has a shit character. Klaassen isn't also good enough for us, he is a workhorse not more and we have already a lot of hard working midfielders. He will be +- 20m and that is too much for a rotation player.

Some of you need to pay more attention to Marotta's interviews. The guy always keeps talking about buying young players and building a foundation for the future.Even when asked about Cavani,he said we have 'young players' of great quality.
The strategy has somewhat changed now. That doesnt mean he wont be fishing for market opportunities ofcourse but paying 40m+ for a 29 yr old Cavani with 8m a yr wages would be a short sighted move and i'm sure even Marotta knows that.

What if we get him cheaper by some unholy reasons?.

Anyways, we need a qualified experienced forward like him if Morata goes. Cavani, Mandzu, Dybala,Zaza seems a perfect combo to me. Forward is a position in which we need high caliber experienced dudes.

For other positions, im all for guys like mandragora. But if we are going to replace Morata...going for another youngster not as good as him, or not experienced enought, could be bad.

Except we wont.Even if he were to be available,we wont be able to match EPL teams' bids who have money flowing like water these days.

And he'll get a second chance at PSG either ways now that Ibra will be leaving so its pointless discussing this.Lets be realistic here.

Although right now i cant name a CF/SS who'd be a decent replacement for Morata if he leaves.I have to think.

Everybody here seems to know this kid, I know he plays for PSG but don't think I've ever seen him actually play. :shifty:

Kid seems to be a bad boy though, not sure it'd be the smartest move.
Seen him play with ivory coast, was one of their better players in 2014. Strong player defensively and offers more then stephan offensively and less refined then sandro but significantly younger. Gots to get him!!

And Cavani! ! :tuttosport:

Among younger targets,Berardi will obviously be a guy they'll be looking at to replace Morata.

If not Berardi, probably Embolo who was linked to us previously.

When you see Martial's of this world going for 80m,you cant think of many targets in an affordable price range.

And i dont think we'll necessarily replace Morata with an out and out CF.Probably a more flexible forward that can play anywhere in attack.

Martial gon for 50 + 10 reaching 25 goals+10 when he'll reach his 25th presence with France national team +10m if he gets a nomination for the Ballon d'Or

Still expensive either way.50m base fee for a 19 yr old kid.Thats a ridiculously inflated price.
