I disagree that his passing is good. its actually pretty poor.

If we want to go toe to toe with Barca, Real and Bayern, we need all our midfielders to be technically sound and capable of keeping possession under high pressure. Matuidi would be a liability

Yeah, you're right. I just think we really needed a signing like Pjanic even if Pogba stayed (with Marchisio injured and Khedira missing 40% of the games). That's why i don't see Pjanic as a direct replacement for Pogba, even though i understand that he is supposed to be . That's also why I'd hope Lemina to play a key role this season, but I'm hearing contradicting stories that he will be sold as well. So Matuidi is going to be starter at least till December, or maybe even longer, depending on when Marchisio will be fully fit again, and this is something i don't like..

Expect some kind of press frenzy over the next few days as we approach Aug 7. If you really believe a deal is already done, then it would seem logical that Pogba would do his medical and sign before his scheduled meeting with his Juve team-mates. So in theory that would mean either today or tomorrow, so Pogba can be in the stands to watch Manchester United's community shield match.

If a deal is not done by then, some may start doubting the deal for a day or 2, and then be convinced it will happen another 48 later, then 48 hours later, etc etc all the way until Sep 1.
