Raiola didn't say a deal isn't happening or Pogba is staying, Raiola said media is full of BS and just guessing /trying to fake scoop each other for attention basically, clear difference to focus on media and not the actual do's or donts of the deal.

Anyone who sees anything tangible to Pogba signing autographs to fans and saying yes yes half bored and barely engaging them is just a pro athlete not wanting to give anything away. He could stay or he could leave, but he would never actually tell the truth to random fans when it's still clear that something is in the works. If he could fully commit to Juve stay he would already done that any time, litterally at any point, as have many players who wanted to stay at third clubs, easy thing to squash and no need for secrecy or silence.

It's the same when reporter asked him about the deal and he said we will see. That's exactly the avoiding to give answer type of diplomacy he goes for. Don't talk until anything is done or confirmed. His right to do it and stupid to see as anything else.

No actually he said. No deal has been reached and it's all media BS. Italian is my first language I know what he said

The only fact that we have so far is that we rejected a bid for Pogba. After that it all went silent in the mainstream media except with all the Twitter gurus reporting its a done deal every 48 hours. There might be an agreement in place like when you have a job offer after going through all the selection process but in the mean time your current company makes you a better offer to stay. Imo it's all in Pogba's hands now and if nothing happens by next Monday, he is staying.
Thank you

It is and has always been in our hands. The inquiring club as much as the player or agent have zero leverage on the holding club.

I know. That's what he said and I was explaining the the aim of it, was due to alot of wildly contradicting reports from media in two countries riding the attention and hype of it all.

But it did not deny a deal wasn't happening, defenitely too soon at the time tho Raiola was flying into Miami to have meetings with Pogba then back to Turin with the club. So clearly alot of work to be done behind closed doors. But non of it indicates that Pogba is staying, because all that would need to happen for that is simple statement of committing to staying. Which isn't coming either from player or the club, so don't hold your breath.

Are people forgetting we are spending €90M on a single player which is going to be paid over two years ? :ratcafe:

When have ever done a deal like this before ? In addition , we havent even sold any of our surplus for good money with the exception of Morata. Seems I shouldn't have posted rumors about EXOR funding Juve in this mercato which was always expected to be BS.

So the pogba battle is now in the transfer section?
Why wouldn't it. It's the biggest discussion in Juventus world closing the Pogba thread would eventually spill it to other parts. Let's be serious no one cares about Luis Gustavo etc until this is resolved either way it's the main story

Have you read how much money we have ? The higuain deal had nothing to do with this

No, we have repeatedly stated we consider him a part of our future. And we rejected huge offers before.

If he goes, its because the player wants out or the agent pushes for the player to want out, and we agreed on 120mil as the sale price.

Nobody right in their mind would want to sell Pogba if he wants to remain.

That is not my point.

We committed huge money towards one signing knowing Pogba will leave.

We likely wouldn't have the gone the Higuain route if we thought Pogba was staying.

I guess we'll find out soon enough.

We were talking big about wanting to go all in to win the CL, before we were refusing to overpay for Morata and later loaded the cash for Higuain

Its a big commitment, but one we could make, if we take in accound the limitations on the next 2 mercato's

I really don't understand the reasoning behind closing the Pogba thread. Did the discussion about it become better in this thread? Did it stop an invasion of United fans?

Yeah. Let's be like Wolfsburg...:baus:
Don't be taken hostages by players, they have plenty of the power, but you shouldn't just give into them as soon as they wish to move. Many top clubs have played hard ball and it works at times. As Bayern showed with Ribery, PSG with everyone etc.

Alright, so the giant super club Bilbao was stacked in midfield, so it made total sense for them to play the ultimate midfielder there and he had a fantastic season, but when the Bavarian minnows from Munich with Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Thiago and then Vidal at their helm for only two available midfield positions most of the times r doing it, then they r complete idiots?

Ancelotti is going to be the next complete fool then, as he has already stated that Martinez ll be a CB for him too, but what do Bielsa, Guardiola and Ancelotti know, they should take advice and listen to some deluded internet trolls trying to be Bayern experts.

Dont know, maybe a teen has hacked ur account..cannot see another reason for such poor arguments from u..disappointing.
When did I say this? stop talking out of your ass, I just commented on your post, stating that Javi Martinez isn't a natural DM.

What limitations ? Suddenly you're making it sound like we sit on botload of cash.

Dude , it's €90M on a single player, not €60M. A €7M net 5 yr contract. Astronomical sums which will only be funded through a cash injection or a big sale.

its 45 mil two seasons in a row. There are quite alot of sales we can make, and if we do we easily remain under our typical net spend for this season.

Not to mention, alot of due installments are finished

The wages are the tricky part. And we basically embargo'd outselves from next year's mercato. its a big commitment, but one we could make. Lets not mess about that.

However, as i said before Higuain, its not in the nature of our board to do this. A pogba sale is 95% more logical. But Its not impossible without.
