He actually right! Marchisio Khedira Pjanic isnt as strong as the Bayern Real and Barca midfield! Anyone who will say otherwise is a biased Juve fan!
Marchisio is good but not amazing same goes for Khedira! Pjanic is great but 1 doesnt make an amazing midfield!
In order to get an amazing midfield we need 1 Pogba (as he provides quality and physicality)! Verratti would be a sheer upgrade in quality but we would still need a physical presence in our midfield!
To sum it up we need 1 WC player in midfield who can also provide some physicality or 1 WC player + 1 very good physical player!
Yaya Toure is an old geezer but if he can play in top of his ability for a season or two I can see him as a good physical player which will upgrade our midfield
Personally Khedira>Renato Pjanic>Thiago Vidal>Marchiso that's 2 out of 3 so it's not superior to us but that's just me. What I was really getting at is that this is the transfer thread where we talk about hmm..... Transfers. Not Dortmund 2.0

I don't think they have declined by much. They lacked that cutting edge and killer instinct under Guardiola. Perhaps they got soft, but now they have the best coach in the business and a stacked squad.
We'll see how it goes. Would love to have another crack at them this season, hopefully the third time is good one. :D

 :howler: Not worth the money mentioned?! In a world where random players from The Championship go for 10-12 million, Pereyra is worth 15, and Zaza can fetch you 25, Tielemans is surely worth a gamble at 15+
I was talking about the €25m I saw mentioned and no he is not even close to being worth that. People need to stop overrating young players who have not yet done anything in their careers.

I don't think anyone is overrating him. They are just saying he is an exciting talent with huge potential, and rightfully so. The guy isn't lacking in experience either. He has played over 100 games for Anderlecht. Verratti went for 10+. Straight from Pescara in Serie B to PSG. These are the going rates for talented youngsters these days.

I'd rather we avoid them, or make it all to the way to the final and play against a Bayern devoid of Muller and Lewa :D

The problem is that out of our 7 midfielders, one should not be counted on because he's shit (Hernanes), 2 are made of glass (Khedira and Asamoah) and other 3 are currently injured/just came out of serious injuries (Marchisio, Sturaro, Lemina). Only Pjanic has a decent injury history - and even him is physically fragile and often suffers with minor injuries from tackles.

WC level is Marchisio as a DM (not as a box to box) and Pjanic (as a creative CM, not a regista). Khedira is good but I don't think he's WC, even when he's healthy. Even Marchisio's quality as a DM is in check for me, because he relies a lot on his stamina and agility. Has to see if fucking a tendom won't compromise that. Lemina has great potential, but is still a bet, and Sturaro is only in the squad because of his nationality.

So to me, the situation in the midfield is quite worrisome. Pogba was not only our best midfielder, but our healthiest midfielder.

If we can't find a WC box-to-box or a WC potential youngster, I'd rather we just stay put. Dont spend high values on a guy like Matuidi, who is expensive and will only decline, while not offering anything much better than we've got, excecpt for experience. Witsel is like a poor man's Khedira, we don't need his characteristics.

But I'm preparing myself for the likely letdown of signing one of them. It would be disappointing. I'm hoping Marotta will go for more than that, whether a better player or, if it's not possible, a player with more potential.

United even said they were going to only buy one more player before Pogba. Idiots.

I'm constructive on Asamoah. He has gone easy for almost 2 years. I think he will be a pleasant surprise this year.

Pussy :p

Our games vs Bayern last year were by far the most exciting cl games I've watched in loong time!! I love challenges, and I want us to face and destro as many great teams(plus arsenal) as possible.

The ultimate cl conquest for me would be beating the Spaniards, Munich and a couple epl skanks.

Fair enough. I just think he needs to have a breakout season this year before moving. He struggled last season in the Belgian league so can only imagine the troubles he'd have in a better league at the moment.

higuain is way more complete. just look at his goals last season vs suarez. suarez is mostly scoring tap ins. higuain is creating for himself, outside the box, in the box, left foot, right foot, header.

Lol. I love that he thinks Suarez just scores tap ins. I've never seen a more energetic player tbh.

:shifty: The GI Joe Destro, or the Pudgy Higuain lookalike last spotted in Roma?! :D

I'd rather take the east route to victory. Let's get our 3rd title first, and then in 2019 or 2020 we can follow your trajectory.
