That's right...no other EPL sides can really stop Chelsea. If they indeed go unbeaten in the EPL but crash out of Europe in some odd way, perhaps one could use the argument to discuss the difficulty of the league they play in. Arsenal losing, Manure and Liverpool drawing, Chelsea winning...get ready for a short season.

EPL wasn't,isn't and won't be a competetive league.and by watching Chelsea these 2 recent seasons,seemingly EPL is becoming even less competetive than before.

EPL is pure media hype,that is it.ever noticed how the individual awards like the world player of the year etc always seem to go to players in italy or spain?.
the level of football is far superior in italy and spain.
epl has a huge market in asia,and covering such a big continent makes it big,even though it doesnt deserve it.

but chelsea is going in Loss.they havent turned into a profit making organization as yet,which is worrying for their board.if they keep on splashin money like maniacs,they might end up suffering huge losses.

It's just a matter of time Jeeks. Mourinho will bring the Champions League trophy to London within the next two years. It's basically inevitable.

I know he will and will probably clinch it this year, but my question was only this season if he fails, he might be sacked.

Your making a very risky assumtion. There is the likes of Barsa, Juve , Milan, etc.
who are at pair with Mourinho boys. CL is not EPL, and there is a lot of variables that normally determines the way CL runs each year.

They caneasily become a new arsenal....

this is a fact.after winning 1 or 2 more EPL,Roman will be fed up with it and then he'll just look for the CL.so if Mourinho fails,he's very likely to be sacked.

ManU made a great mistake not to buy a good midfielder. they will geat great problems if keane is injuired or something.

Actually I'd be more than willing to bet against that.I don't think there's any team in Europe that could stake a claim like that at the moment.

The Champions League is far too unpredictable to predict a winner IMO...Porto and Liverpool proved that I think, and over the years we've often seen dominating teams that looked like CL runaway favourites fall by the wayside, eg. the record breaking Barca side two years ago, Real in that season as well, Juve in 99', Valencia and Bayern 3-4 years ago etc.

Oh I very much concur the Champions League is unpredictable, however Chelsea has reached the Semi-finals two years in a row now and last season they deserved to progress through to the Final instead of Liverpool IMO. This year Chelsea is even more strong with Essien and Crespo back, and with Mourinho finding his first-choice starting XI after two consecutive seasons at Chelsea they will be even better than last year. They have all the tools neccessary to win and it's only a matter of time before luck is on their side. Abramovich will keep supplying the goods and Mourinho knows how to deliver them.
