So Costa should be asking for more than higgy now? I know what you are saying but it doesnt always work like that.Rugani should be making a ton more. Should Sandro get as much as our better fbs? 3 mil or get equal to what say Chelsea would give him? There are a lot of factors that goes in to what you should be paid and its not all just within your team. Also When a player makes more and the club explains why and they cant give you a raise what do you do? Leave to get paid the same elsewhere? Or does another team pay you more? Did you not know the club was underpaying you before Can came in?

if Real signs a top midfielder, that creates extra competition. Kovacic would be 5th in rotation and would most likely request for a transfer. thats a potential opportunity a club with our kind of midfield shouldnt pass on. SMS is a must buy, was a must buy last season as well, but we bottled it. hes a lock-on superstar, complete midfielder in every way.
Nzonzi and Dembele are also both better than Can, would improve our starting XI instantly. Can is an OK 4th mid, but thats not what we need. in fact, him being a freebie is the sole reason we are even interested.
Can has the potential to become a really good CM if Allegri can bring the best out of him, which I think he can.
He has some nice touches, is athletic, is physically strong, can shoot from distance, can head, can open up defences with some vision, he's got the full repertoire required for a top CM, just needs to find consistency.

What's wrong with what I said? You, as an optimist, prolly believe we gonna get 60mln for Sandro. Let's even assume that's what gonna happen. Then we need to buy 2 LBs since Asamoah is also leaving for Inter. A starting LB will cost us at least 40mln.a backup will be at least 15-20. Then what is left to reinvest in midfield?

You're just biased regarding Can and that's it. Suggesting his arrival may interrupt SMS purchase or buying from Real Madrid. A cherry on the cake was your statement that Bentancur is better than Can. While in reality SMS cost 100mln, the fact Sneijder and Robben left Real and made careers elsewhere is not some precedent validating all such purchases. Look at Morata to Chelsea or Jese to psg.
