According to the latest reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are edging closer to securing the signature of Emre Can, whose contract with Premier League giants Liverpool is due to expire at the end of June.

In recent weeks, there have been some doubts over whether the Bianconeri would be able to get a deal over the line, despite the fact that directors Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici have been working towards bringing the player to Turin for some time.

However, it seems that they have made a decisive breakthrough in negotiations by agreeing to pay the German midfielder’s agents a significant sum of money in commission. Indeed, they are set to earn several million euros apiece when the deal is eventually confirmed.

I think what people dislike, is the thought that Can could be our only "big" addition for the midfield. They don't dislike the player per se.

At least that's how i feel about him. If he's only depth option, fine, but if he's the star CM (Not too unlikely looking at his wages), then it's underwhelming.

I thought it was orange actually but anyway, you get the drift. Free agents are not free, but generally if you add up agent and signing fees it's still a lot less than actual transfer fees.

With the rumours of Martial, Morata and 50mill :wotface: Bellerin I'd say Beppe isn't of the belief that we need a "star midfielder". Soem starter quality and soem depth and we are good to go, seems to be the reasoning.
