According to The Mirror, Can 'demanded a clause be included in any new contract he signs with Liverpool’, but the Reds 'are refusing to meet his request’.

The newspaper explains it could 'set a dangerous precedent’, given other players could ask for one, leaving them at risk of losing more of their stars.
