Rai Sport maintain Juventus are “very, very, very optimistic” that Emre Can will accept their proposal, snubbing Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

The German international will be a free agent when his contract with Liverpool expires on June 30 and is therefore available to negotiate with other clubs.

While the Bianconeri had been in advanced talks with Can’s entourage since January, over recent weeks new offers had come in from Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

According to Rai Sport, the latest contact with the player’s agent has left Juventus “very, very, very optimistic” that he will accept the move to Turin.

The terms put forward by Juventus are a five-year contract worth €5m per year net – which would be €10m gross.

For me that was true first time he was linked to us last year, and it will be true til June 30th.

The reason he is so wanted for me is that we could get depth and quality while not using our transfer money. That could give us extra $$ for a legit difference maker. So in a way him coming could make a huge difference in our team. If not we would have to spend 30-40 for a player of his caliber

Yeah 5 mil is a lot but if we get rid of sturaro for say 12 mil then its like an even trade financially. I think we could possibly bring in 2 midfielders that could make a difference but I think it means Dybala going

i talked about this with someone before already, basically hes gonna disturb our wage structure if we give him that much. what would you say, how many players on our squad is he better than? and only 3 will earn more than him as of now. it will be the setting stone for our other players to get a raise soon to get more money than Emre (some of the better ones, like Pjanic, AS, Berna or Cuads), and the less better ones will ask for wages closer to 5M as well, which they maybe wouldnt have before this signing. i dont like it, would rather give the 5M (or 6M) to a better player than Can

So you think that Pjanic making 5.5 and Matuidi making 5 and Khedira making 4 is not upsetting the squad but Can coming in making 5 will? PLayers understand free agency and also his salary isnt some huge salary that will bust the top off. Its high but not crazy IMO
