its not really weird, if you know hes still under his 1st contract at Liverpool, when he joined them as a Bayern reserve. hes earning pocket change right now, ofcourse he will look for a huge raise with being a free agent. not saying it was correct or wrong to sign him, just explaining the situation

Initial numbers were €4M net but now it's changed to €5M a year but the length of the contract is reduced from 5 to 4 years hence the higher salary perhaps.
It's safe to assume that he'll be earning a Khedira level salary.

Mandzu will probably leave on a free when his contract is up, Mira deserves a higher salary and we'll see with Cuads. If he does well he'll get it, if not...

"If" and "Becomes" those are the points. At this point he comes as 3rd or 4th mid. IF he becomes our best all round mid you can still rise his wages - to €5m.

If his first contract is already worth €5m a year, then you know the numbers are only going to go up if he comes good for us.
