Emo's fee is acceptable....

as long as we can get players we r eager to have, .

at Least he is more worth than Thuram(more than 20m for a age 29 RB)

and If Moggi buys less dummy Youngsters, it is ok.

yes but before that he was definitely in Brazil starting lineup. He's better than Gilberto Silva and Kleberson.

but how stupid is to practice him in goal.. they were lucky it didn't cost them the world cup

ok it seems offical i am very happy that we signed a world class man like Emerson!! He can surely help us a lot!

the only thing i don't like is that we lost 2 young italian with Brighi and Maresca!!!

does anyone know did we sell them Brighi or just co owner ship??

It also said in news that this means that we are probably out of Gilardino race, god i hope not!!!

ok, forza Emerson!

Brazilian midfielder Emerson has finally left Roma and joined Juventus for an undisclosed fee.

It is believed that the 28-year-old was sold for a figure between £8m and £10m plus Matteo Brighi. The former Parma midfielder, however, is yet to agree terms with the capital side.

Emerson had reached an agreement with the Bianconeri some time ago but the two clubs had seemingly reached a stalemate with Real Madrid ready to pounce for the former Bayer Leverkusen man.

However, after a meeting yesterday with Juve’s Technical Director Luciano Moggi, Roma’s Franco Baldlini, revealed that the transfer had been completed.

“The deal was finally done on Tuesday,” confirmed the Sporting Director. “There are only a few details that need to be ironed out and then both teams give the official confirmation of Emerson’s transfer to Juventus.”

This deal could open the door for Roma to buy Alberto Gilardino. The capital club now have the money to offer Parma for the Italian Under-21 striker.

I definitely agree with John's views earlier. This transfer doesnt seem all that clever after all. Trading Brighi + 10 mil. makes me feel Roma got the better of the deal. Considering Emerson has atleast 3 decent years in him, i would be willing to accept the fact a little better. But there is no doubt, we've wasted way too much time in this transfer, and now its going to take some asking to get ahead of our rivals on the transfer front, by the time the season is set to kick off.

What worries me is that Roma now has the money to go and sign Gilardino....
I hope Moggi have the 1st option with Parma, but it does look like a two horse race to sign Gilar now.

Emerson joins Juve Wednesday 28 July, 2004

Brazilian midfielder Emerson has finally left Roma and joined Juventus for an undisclosed fee.

Emerson Is Already Juve's Leader
7/28/2004 12:16:00 PM
Emerson spoke for the first time as a Juventus player this morning and he is already the leader that the bianconeri were desperately looking for.
"I can’t wait to meet my new team mates and Capello in Torino because I have been looking forward to this day for a long time," the Brazilian international said. "I have been training with my friends at Gremio recently waiting for a call from Italy and finally it has arrived".

"I can’t wait to play the first game in the Champions League and I will be there in the middle of the pitch fighting for the victory," he added. "I am not happy with how Roma behaved because Sensi had promised that I could have joined any club at the end of the season considering that I had refused a Chelsea transfer in January that would have made me a very rich man but as everybody knows things turned out differently".
welcome emerson!!

we will all fight(i hope) for the victory this season...
and i hope we'll all fight more and more....
but real fights...not just words and promises....
