I remember a game last season towards the end where he had a really $#@! game, everyone in the forum wanted him dead.

now he is a legend
I don't see anyone treating him like a legend. We're only sad to see him leave and wish him best of luck.

Gratitude is a good thing, we need more of it here.

Team news from the Hong Kong Stadium.

Paolo Di Canio has named an unchanged side to face Manchester City in the final of the Barclays Asia Trophy.

Subs: Pickford, Westwood, Wickham, Vaughan, Mandron, Moberg Karlsson, Ba, McClean, Cuellar, Roberge.

Man City: Pantilimon, Zabaleta, Clichy, Kompany (c), Nastasic, Garcia, Milner, Toure, Silva, Dzeko, Negredo.

Subs: Wright, Lescott, Nasri, Kolarov, Navas, Rodwell, Barry, Fernandinho, Boyata.

New Sunderland signing Emanuele Giaccherini has briefly looked back on his career with Scudetto winners Juventus.

The Italian international left Turin for the Premiership this summer after a €7.5m fee was agreed between the clubs.

“I spent two wonderful years with Juventus,” the 28-year-old noted on his return to the peninsula for Wednesday’s friendly against Argentina, in honour of Pope Francesco.

“I went from Cesena to winning the championship with Juve, becoming a vice-champion of Europe with the national team and also playing the Confederations Cup in Brazil.

“Now I’m also being given the opportunity to meet the Pope…

“I was sorry to leave Juve, but there was this opportunity of joining Sunderland and together we decided it was a good thing for me.”

Sunderland’s shopping in Turin may not have ended with the versatile midfielder, seeing as Juve forward Fabio Quagliarella is also being linked with Paolo Di Canio’s side.

“I can only say that I am happy there,” Giaccherini commented. “Fabio will have to make his own decision.”

LOL @ thinking that 8-10 milion is money..... The problem is that Italian teams are so miserable that everyone else around seems ubber rich......
