@IZ, thats bullshit man, he was one of the best players in the EPL throughout last season. That is in addition to destroying big clubs like Inter, Arsenal and Chelsea. Actually his performance against Real Madrid in the second leg was amazing too, he absolutely destroyed S.Ramos. The guy is one of the fastest players in the world, he's an excellent dribbler, he can shoot a ball, his crossing isn't too bad, he's good at set pieces and he can score goals. So, the Bale is overrated and a one trick pony argument is outdated, he's already proven his quality.
Interesting viewpoint, 42 games, 11 goals, better last season than Nani, which I think means not much. Remeber schalke, they beat inter too. Destroyed Arsenal, the great robust Arsenal or Football lite? Spurs didn't even beat Chelsea and Bale didn't even score against them, which can only mean, shock of shocks, he was exciting and fast but not substantial.
I'll tell you why I don't think he's quality, yet. Firstly you mentioned at most 7 games where you think he proved his quality. C. Ronaldo, Messi et al have done it in more like 70 games. Secondly, I personally think that the 'top' fullbacks such as Ramos,Alves,Maicon,if you want Cole rely on speed to a greater extent than let's say patrice Evra. These new 'fast' fullbacks (as in attacking, pacey fullbacks) can be raped by Bale because Bale is faster not because he's fleet of foot.
To try to convey where I'm coming from, I still consider Chicharito to have something to prove, I believe it takes at least 3 seasons of continued performance for a player to become 'quality'. Bale has had one, hampered by the fact that he plays for Lolspurs. Arsenal fan fapping over such a player is understandable
