He's not really an inconsistent show pony though.

I'm just wondering, what's your view on Krasic, if Elia is an inconsistent show pony?

I don't really rate Elia; he is too raw for my liking. Mind you, I am not hailing Krasic as a saviour either, but he does have slightly more experience, is a bit more consistent, and has had more exposure when it comes to major competitions. In any case, Krasic is a RW and Elia plays on the left, so I don't really think there is a point in comparing them.

They're both wingers though, one does his job on the left, the other on the right, but it's still the same job. They are somewhat comparable I'd say.

Since you find Elia very raw and inconsistent, I was just wondering what you thought of Krasic, as I've seen him disappear in a few games. I have to admit I've seen a lot more of Elia than of Krasic, but I'm guessing it's the other way around with you, as we've been linked with Krasic for a longer time, which might've sparked your interest in watching the player.

You have to keep in mind Elia is two years younger than Krasic, plays in the Bundesliga and is basically a sub in our national team only because of Arjen Robben, which is not really anything to be ashamed of. Krasic 'only' plays in the Russian league, so the only advantage he'd have is the experience of a few CL games.

Like I said, I can't say I've seen all that much of Krasic, but I don't think his experience would really go a long way when deciding between, or comparing the two. Based on what I've seen he's not any more of a consistent threat than Elia.

Ah well, both made our points, each to his own, and I admit I might be a tad biased here. :D

Well, ofcourse I am and that's basically what makes me reply to most people who thinks he's not very good, as otherwise I wouldn't bother. I feel like I have to re-educate some people on here when it comes to Dutch players, as you're all getting it wrong, they're amazing! I can't help it we produce some fine players.

:D

On a serious note, I do know I'll always be a bit biased, but it's honestly what I think when I look at how Elia compares to Krasic. So bite me.

Both are good players but I`d go for Elia as he could play LW and Lanza RW as from Lanza Pepe and Martinez, Lanza impressed me the most!
Krasic is a RW and will take the non eu which I hope we are saving for Dzeko
my hope altough probably won`t happen since we probably sell Diego

Diego/DP Dzeko
Elia Melo/Sissoko Marchisio Lanza
LB Chiellini Bonucci Motta
Buffon

as for the LB I hope we get a good LB so we won`t be stuck with De Ceglie as I don`t rate him much
as for the CM position I hope we will get Poli but lets not be too greedy with demands as my formation is enough greedy as it is for one mercato

In an ideal world we would get both, as they both have tremendous potential and could shine with the right team, and in the right environment.

@ Ken: It's natural that you are biased; he is Dutch after all :p
