Elia is way too overrated on these forums. He is quick and physical, but his game has no end product. Some useful tricks and flicks, but can he actually finish? Is he able to hold onto his ball? He is way too raw and inconsistent.

Football Italia now says Elia has overtaked Krasic
Everyday there is a new top target reminding me a bit of the Moggi days

But.. but.. Aush! Elia! :p

HSV won't sell anyway and Del Neri seems more than aware of our LB problem. We'll get Krasic for the right, not a left winger also.

Hamburg Deny Juventus Have Launched An Offer For Eljero Elia

Hamburg winger Eljero Elia put in some impressive performances for Holland at the 2010 World Cup and the former Twente star has since been linked with a move away from the Rothosen on more than one occasion.

Italian titans Juventus are supposedly eager to add the attacker to their squad this summer and a number of recent reports even suggested that La Vecchia Signora have already made a first offer for Elia.

However, HSV have now moved to deny the rumour that Juventus have made an €11 million bid for the Dutch international.

"We have not received any formal offers for Eljero Elia," Hamburg spokesperson Joern Wolf was quoted as saying by German press agency SID.

The 23-year-old Elia joined Hamburg from Twente in the summer of 2009 for a reported €9 million fee. His current contract with the Rothosen runs until the summer of 2014.
