To clarify my position here, Elia may become a great winger. But, till now he’s just a player who is similar to Quaresma. Tricks and speed with no end product.

Unlike Giovinco, his assists are impressive for the little amount of time given.

So for now, Giovinco is a better option indeed. A season without a Champions League would be ideal for him to gain confidence and see whether he has potential or another overrated Italian talent.

EDIT: Also, some people were lamenting Bundesliga defenders, which Elia plays in and Seba is playing in the hardest league, in terms of finding space to demonstrate his style of play.

Not exactly the winger I hope for. I think it's better if we sign a right winger, that's why I want us to get Krasic instead.

He’s the only upgrade over Giovinco unlike other wingers we’re linked to.

Bottom line here, Gio has produced more than enough in this shirt to warrant a real chance to play in this team more consistently.

:agree: I would prefer Vargas as our LM for sure if we still looking for natural left footed winger.. Vargas has better end product although he is not skillfull and tricky winger

I didn't really see him play for his club so i don't think i'm fit to make a sound judgment about the players ability.

I have to say though, i was not overly impressed by him in the WC.

I kind of rate Giovinco, maybe a tad more than I should, but I fail to see how anyone could come to the conclusion Giovinco > Elia. I'd prefer having Elia on our left wing to Giovinco, as he's faster and stronger aswell. I simply think he'd be more of a threat.

I doubt we'll go after him anyway, so I advise those who say he's just flashy without end product to watch some more Hamburg games, as I feel most people are rating him on the little time he got in the World Cup.

He was impressive against Denmark, when everybody was making a mess of their pants, but rather quiet after that. I guess getting subbed on in a World Cup final against Spain and shine/impress is an easy task.

Do you want a guy who will make some good youtube videos in our shirt or a player who can actually contribute with assists?
