Good prospect? Maybe a few years ago. He's a 24 year old bench player for Hamburg now and he is going no where fast.

I'm fairly certain he was benched due to issues with the manager, his stats aren't woeful, he's definitiely scored more than Vargas since he joined Hamburg, then again it was against Bundesliga defences.

I'd rather take Elia knowing that he could improve then Vargas who has peaked imo.

i reported last week that bastos has a good chance of staying at lyon this summer, that looks to be the definitive case

it is really between vargas and elia. Since fiorentina will fight hard to keep vargas and he is prepared to stay, elia is looking to be a imminent signing unfortunately.

thing is i prefer bastos to his ability to be unpredictable, and is more diverse than elia imo

vargas is good at crossing, more so than elia

elia rarely crosses, instead prefers to cut inside and drive a low ball into the box or shoot, thus making him a bit predictable, and tbh his shooting isnt that great.

The Dutchman is technical and fast. But so is Lanza. The brains are more important than the legs. Hopefully this kid has the brains and it was just a bad episode with Hamburg.

like I said Elia is inconstant but you can't say he doesn't had any technique like our butterfly friend. And Elia is also very fast while dribbeling with the ball at has foot.
HSV is really crap. I think he would do well. And if we can get him for under 10m we could be doing a great job. Don't forget he want despartely to the euro's next summer. He want to prove himself at a new club. He said that in may at dutch tv shows. And still says he want to leave.
