I really don't agree with him looking lazy. Utterly clueless would be a better description.
I don't think it will be long before Krasic is again ahead of him in the pecking order. Might already be against Fiorentina. Which would obviously be a shame for Elia, but that's what you get for having too many (attacking) players.

Well, that's kind of true. When backtracking he would run next to one player, then see another Genoa player unmarked and run towards him. He really felt lost. He also kept cutting inside without possession leaving that right flank open. You could see Pirlo wanting to pass to the right wing at least once, but there was nobody there.
He did twice lose the ball and just full on stop though, which is something he shouldn't be doing. Calling him lazy might be a bit too much though, you're right.
He looked rusty and on top of that he wanted to do too much trying to prove his worth, which is usually a combination that doesn't work out that well.
