Del Piero, PDC and Vucinic were constantly involved in the attacks that time. Elia hardly saw much of it. You gotta give credit at least for teh tracking back and winning the ball a few times, something he was criticised for might not doing it enough.

I didn't either. He looked to be walking around, not playing with much confidence when out of possession. Nobody bothered to acknowledge him apart from Lichtsteiner which was weird.

The coach has access to him in training, but I don't think any fan can properly make a case for him after that game at all.

His very first involvement was to track back and win the ball on our right. He did it again immediately after giving away the ball near their penalty.

WRONG! His preferred position is LW. Besides, most of our attacks were coming down our left and middle. When you're pushing forward to get a goal, then his positioning is quite understandable.
