Oh for the love of God! common! you cant seriously say that Elia would have make a worst game that Estigarribia and Vucinic!

Look I dont say that Elia is super talent, in fact I dont know it, but thats the thing, if we pay money for the kid we must at least give him the chance to prove him...
I'm talking about the context of the game. You can't just throw players on because they have ability and someone is tired. It was 2-1 at this point and too open. Estigarribia created a good balance when he came on, we saw him charge down the line to attack and also he was coming back making interceptions and tackles.

Elia will find space either at the start of games or coming in when we need a goal. He might have been ideal from the start tonight. I wasn't particularly impressed with the product of Vucinic, even though the effort was there.

Well, I understand people criticizing Elia, but saying that after Esti's performance yesterday we should forget about Elia, is absolute rubbish. He was on for a couple of minutes and did very little right, apart from a good sliding tackle tracking back.

Nobody is asking to forget about Elia. I don't care who plays, as long as they assist the team in a positive way. Esti hardly did anything wrong yesterday. The last 10 minutes were about containing and he did that pretty well.

Edit: I don't think anyone can criticize Elia, because he hasn't had any minutes on the pitch after that 45. No idea if it's his fault or Conte's stubbornness why he isn't getting any playing time.

i was the one who originally said he was coming, much to my disappointment
So when Elia plays and scores for us, will you be the one who is saying i'm glad you stayed instead of watching him for 45mins and tell him to go back to Den Haag?

I agree with you Ken, but hey we are Dutch fanboys so we are overreacting :disagree:

He did what he was supposed to do. I agree he should have been brought in earlier, but when he came on, he did what he had to.
True that, but saying that he did a good shift is a bit off if you only played 6mins, he did 3 things and that's all he could do in the time he was given.

Interesting tact, saying that praising Estigarribia means rubbishing Elia, and then wrongfully criticising Estigarribia as to make your boy look better :p
