One of the most odd transfers ever.
tbh i think Conte had every intention to play him originally, or at least before Conte realised that Juve were better with a 3 or 5 man midfield system, rather than the straight 4-4-2/4-2-4 system that was intented which would have suited Elia. Unfortunately this is not the case, but at least Elia is being mature about it and accepts this decision, he knows he's at a great club and he can ill-afford to moan about lack of playing time, so respect to him for his patience and understanding of the situation

Can't he play out wide in a 3-5-2?

I don't know whether it is possible or not... but I guess we had to exile him to primavera in the start of the season in order to punish him for his shit performance. For example in our Ukrainian championship there is a common practice for top clubs to have a double team playing in lower division. This team are used from one side to give permanent practice for youngsters, and from the other side to punish a shity noughty players from the first squad =D

I wouldn't whine and bitch either if I was paid thousands of euros every week to train 3 or 4 days and not be expected to do anything else.

True enough...but what if you were an athlete with ambition and you were frozen out like that? Gio bitched...a lot. Even when he's playing.................................

I think I'd rather he did complain, at least it would show that he's bothered by being left out. This year has been like a holiday for him I'd say.
