I think Elia would adapt really quickly, simply because of his general attitude. He's hardly ever nervous, or so he says, always tries to play his game and always goes for his moves. He would constantly take his opponents on.
I've seen Krasic play games where all he'd do was fall back a bit and do a one-two with a defensive midfielder or defender, without having any sort of spark in his game. You don't see those with Elia, which obviously doesn't mean he doesn't play bad games.
With his touch and speed, he could easily do plenty of damage to the average Serie A defender with that attitude and way of playing.
