At least 50 people have been killed after a football pitch invasion in Egypt, according to reports.

Clashes are said to have broken out as fans flooded the field seconds after the game in the northern coastal city of Port Said finished.
Health officials said hundreds more had been injured amid reports of rocks, bottles, flares and fireworks being thrown.
It is being described as one of the worst incidents of sports violence seen in Egypt in decades.
A security official and a medic said fans of the home team, Al Masry, swarmed the field after a rare 3-1 win against Al Ahly, Egypt's top team.
They threw missiles at other fans and injured some players.
A medic at a morgue in the city said some of the dead were security officers. The causes of the deaths were not immediately known.
Some players were taken to a locker room for protection, a player, Sayed Hamdi, told state TV.
As details of the violence emerged, a football match in Cairo was called off in mourning - and television footage showed sections of the stadium on fire. An announcer said the blazes had been started by fans angry over the cancellation.

RIP my Egyptian brothers. I smell a very strong massacre by the SCAF. They just want to make people regret the revolution against Mubarak. Briefly: "If you want to rebel against Mubarak and SCAF, taste more violence!"

Now, eyewitnesses say that this was the revenge of the police because the fans of both teams were chanting against the Military council during the match.

Egypt's Ministry of Interior: today's riots in Port Said were planned by Masry ultras.

Masry Ultras: "To all the Al Ahly fans coming to the stadium tomorrow. Make sure you leave a will for your mothers!" (Arabiya)

That is what the military council wants to feed to people. Just for info, the match was not the derby of Egypt. The Masry Ultras never compared themselves to the level of Al-Ahly or Al-Zamalek.

And by the way, does anybody believe that the fans of the winning team could do all these clashes after their win? What is the justification for suc an act?

I'm happy many Egyptians are not believing the official lie that this is football violence. Most of the Egyptian people I know say that the clashes inside the stadium were initiated by intruders between the fans who launched missiles (The same thugs who were against the revolution - There are videos that show them clearly) and people were seen on all the Tvs in the world fleeing from those missiles. That was the main reason for the high number of casualties.

Just to make sure that what happened was planned by the military authority, ONTV channel says that this is the first time in history Port Said mayor and police chairman did not attend this match!

According to Ahmed (Bisco) so far no one knows who's responsible for this. People are divided though, some say it was planned others say it was the youth movement to blame.

What will the youth movement make benefit out of this?

Just to remind ourselves, it is the same style that was used by Mubarak's regime. If anybody remembers, it was revealed after the revolution that some of those who were in charge were behind the bombing of a church in Alexandria before two years just to accuse Islamists of doing that bombing.

It is the typical policy of "Divide and Conquer"
