drop of performance can happen to any player, vidal as example or did we forget how much it takes him to get back to his form this year.
You cant compare Vidal, who still have years left in him. Lich is on the wrong side of the 30 and having Darmian can spur him on as well to take over gradually.
I don't see why we should't go for Darmian at any reason other than an inflated price tag.

but does Cavani want out? how smart would it be to force a player to stay against his will?
Yeah, Cavani is probably thinking about leaving.
PSG already had this situation with Thiago Silva and Barcelona two years ago (+ Marquinhos and Barcelona last year). It ended up with a new contract (and higher wages of course) i think.

Theyll probably want Lacazette so Cavani could become expendable to them. Combine that with him being unhappy and the hate he receives by some there and we could potentially get a bargain on the price, but it will still be very high. I still dont see how we finance this without selling Pogba.

ONLY way for this to become a possibility imo.

aka Juve giving first refusal rights to PSG for Pogba or if we involve ourselves in a mega swap deal involving Pogba and Cavani.

We made a killing in CL this year, our sponsorship deals are increasing significantly, and Exor just gave us a 50 mil loan.

We spent 100 mil in the transfer market with only 23 mil in sales in 2011... and that was thanks to a 120 mil Exor loan as Zoso mentioned above. We had a fraction of the revenue as a club at the time, so the bigger loan was necessary.

This new loan, and rising revenue, all point to our ability to have a very big summer this year, dependent on opportunities available. And this without selling any our stars. I'm sure we'll try to offload deadwood like Ogbonna and Llorente. And there will be interest in those two.

Where Tevez/Vidal fails, they make up with winning goals or other contributions. Licht used to but as I said its regressing quickly.

And both legs Darmian owned Licht.
So you expect Lich to make up by scoring goals like Tevez and Vidal? He makes up in defending and defending wins you titles. Azpilicueta doesn't score or assist much, Maxwell isn't scoring and assisting much lately and many other names, players like Lich win you titles.

And at Darmian owning lich :howler: Please..... No one cares and probably no one noticed this except you, but I am sure everyone noticed how Lich kept Ronaldo and Company quiet.

Problem is we are terribly thin at full back, given that padoin has been filling roles there, I'm not entirely convinced that asamoah is the answer at left back when he returns i'd sooner see him return to midfield and save ourselves 20 mill on wasting it on someone like witsel or even allan. The thing is given Evra's improvements he probably has another season in him at most we need to start thinking about rejuvenating this ageing side starting from this summer now we either sign:

Darmian who can cover both LB and RB and use caceres as a cover RB and ditch romulo.

or

Sell caceres ditch romulo sign a RB and a LB

Whatever the scenario I do expect to sign at least one full back in the summer

As much as I like licht as a person he reminds me a lot in terms of krasic when he's on the ball and can be very one dimensional with his service to the forwards

am surprised how people easily forget what a player doing for long time for one mistake or a bad game.

licht is a very good RB and we dont have to replace it for another two years + i see a quality in him to play as sub CB in the future.
we need LB more than RB.

how many goals did Ronaldo score? 2? Yeah great job keeping him quiet. Licht was MIA on his first goal in Turin.

darmian does both. arguably better left back because he cuts in and shoots
