To be fair, 2001 did bring us a Ballon d'Or winner and the arguably best goalkeeper in history :D

But it took selling arguably one of the top 10 players of all time for that to happen

@Hustini has a very valid point. If we can get Dybala AND Cavani this mercato without selling Pogba, it easily goes down as one of the best of the past 20 years.

I think its important to note without selling any of our top players. That goes without saying, players like Ogbonna/Pepe, etc are obviously not one of those top players. Keeping Vidal & Pogba would be monumental while landing Dybala and Cavani.

It took selling Zidane for that to happen and back then Juve really never "sold" to "buy" but they weren't outrageous either until the Zizou sale. If somehow Beppe can manage to pull this off then its entirely debatable IMO.

And thats what im hoping...
It seems Cavani wants to come... he knows he will earn lesss... but lets be sincere...our club is gaining a lot of fame and hype. We have class and history. PSG right now is good but it seems that the right things are clicking in Juventus and is a good team to go if you are planning to play good football in a pro enviroment. His is already a millionarie...but he is having a rought time in the sporting side of things. Coming here as the main force of our attack and being in the spotlight is what he would be aiming for.

Now heres the thing......the sheiks...
First of all, if we are not giving them Pogba...theres no reason for them to be cute with us and bend over. Ibra is already old and could get tired of things at any moment. It would be very unwie for them to offload cavani and specially to us.....and if for some unholy reason they say "you know what Cavani?, if you want to go out,...then GTFO"..... then the price they will thorw at us will be simply obsene.
Thats the real problem for marotta.
If Pogba is not going to be sold...as we all expect...then sacrifices will have to be made with other players.

Another huge problem is that we have a rising star in morata, getting someone like cavani will upset the balance in that area no matter how small and we may ended in much worse situation down the road especially with cavani wage, and age

you know how we would only sell Pogba if he wants to leave? its the same in other clubs too. no one will and cant force a player to stay if he doesent want to. so if Cavani wants out, they are gonna sell. to us or to someone else is the question then

We are not getting him even if we win CL.

So lets just relax, enjoy the final(s) and go into the new season without too many expectations.
