I'm not advocating Berardi here next year... but Tevez is gone, for sure the year after. So 1 more season with Tevez. Than we have Morata potentially leaving for Madrid that same summer. If that happens we'll have 30 mil to replace him, so that wouldn't be the end of the world, even if keeping him would be ideal.
Berardi in my opinion should be bought, as it's only 15 mil. Total outlay on the player will be pretty low. His performance so far as U20 in Serie A is astonishing and it would be ridiculous not to buy him. And yes, I do rate the fact he is Italian, as this would be massive for Juve to have the next great Italian attacking talent. There hasn't been one since Del Piero and Totti (Giuseppe Rossi was the closest). That's a long time.
He should be loaned out next year and allowed to develop further. Any number of mid-table clubs would love to have him.
From watching him play these last two years, I think he could easily play SS, and be superb at it. His creativity is massively underrated, as is his passing. Look at his assist numbers. 6 last year, 8 already this year. That's excellent. I think he'd be versatile across the entire front-line aside from a traditional CF type. Good finishing, good passing, decent creativity. He'd borderline be able to play a no 10 role in the hole behind 2 strikers. It wouldn't be ideal of course. I'd love to see him here. Even if just as a rotational option, allowing us more tactical flexibility. With Coman, Berardi, Pepe, Pereyra all able to play on the wings, it would be very easy for us to rotate into a 4-3-3 for some matches.
Something like Coman--Morata/Dybala--Berardi might be incredible in 2-3 years time if we groom Coman and Berardi into these roles well.
