I really hope we don't go for Cavani, PSG's games against Barcelona proved that he doesn't play well when the pressure is on and can only do it when the whole team is playing well and not relying on him. We would be much better off investing in Dybala.

He didn't singlehandedly beat Barcelona while the rest of his team wasn't playing well. What an average player.

The least you could expect from a striker of this calibre is that he'll dominate and beat what is probably the best team in the world on his own, while his 10 other teammates run about like headless chickens. Never mind that Barca played as a team and have better players in most areas of the field. Cavani should've scored a hattrick.

Since he didn't, though, he has now proven that he cannot cut it while the pressure is on. He cannot be relied upon.

i meant CF not wingers. maybe suarez better than Cavani. but he is better than Benzema and Lewandowski.
Any of the "wingers" I mentioned would score more goals playing as a centre forward than Cavani would. Cavani himself has been as much a "winger" as any of the others in recent seasons.

and he shouldn't be a winger. he needs to play as a CF and maybe SS. and i agree with you this guys are the elite so why people talking shit about him. the guy is one of the most lethal strikers and his work rate is madness.

Edit: i really doubt if messi or ronaldo plays for juve would be as many people think. different systems different league.

Cavani is a top striker for me. To be honest, he would probably be in the same tier as Tevez. The issue for me is the transfer fee and wages for a soon to be 29 year old. I know we've enjoyed Tevez's continued dominance into his 30s but that's not a guarantee for every player. It's still a little too risky for me to pay 45M and huge wages for someone who *should* be outside of their prime years.

i didn't argue the transfer itself. because i know it would be so hard and may even has talks about pogba which i don't like. we talk about his true ability as a player. some guys here really underrate the guy.

If he were played as the focal point of an attack in a top 8 european side he would soon be considered one of the best in the world. He's perfect for this Juve. Hopefully he becomes available at which time we should go all in for this man.

And again i agree with you. and as i said the guy is one of the best CF's in the world. the real talk is why don't we go for wingers like Sanchez? another guy who can add another dimension to our team specially that we have a potential top class CF like Moratta.

Yes Morata has the potential but it's almost risky not buying a forward of Cavani's stature IF Tevez were to leave. Hopefully after next season there won't be as big of a question mark over Morata and we can rely on him to be world class.

cavani is as hard working as it gets from a striker. we've seen him doing a tackle in his own box then finishing the counter. if a box-to-box striker exists, than it is cavani.

Cavani will be very hard/nearly impossible for us to sign due to wages, transfer fee, competition from other teams etc.

However, it makes me laugh to see how many people underrate him. If we were to sign Cavani and Darmian while keeping Tevez this summer our team would be ridiculously competitive on all fronts. Tevez-Cavani up front would be an absolute nightmare for any team to play against. Work rate out of this world from both. Flair, creativity, speed and finishing from Tevez. Strength, aerial presence/ability, hold-up play, technical ability from Cavani. Not to mention we still should have Morata for years to come. Replace Pirlo with Veratti if it becomes possible and our team could be quite incredible for a good few years.

People saying they don't want Cavani because they draw Pogba into the equation need to realize there is no link between the two. Cavani CAN come here without using losing Pogba. In fact, Pogba being tied to Cavani coming is a link not made by GDM or any other mercato media. It is purely a goal.com, reddit and "what if" scenario.

In that light, Cavani would be massive to come here. Cavani/Tevez leading the front line would be an amazing partnership, with Morata off the bench and in various matches as a starter to rest either of the two.

And Lewandowski is not better than Cavani. It's not even close.
