Yeah but I'm more then sure we can get past qualifiers
Why?

Juve could get the fourth placed team from England or Spain.

I'm not saying Juve wouldn't/couldn't beat Arsenal, Spurs, Atletico Madrid or Valencia, but it would certainly be entirely possible Juve could lose.

Scratch Arsenal off that list. Spurs we could beat, atletico would be even easier and valencia well it depends on the day. :flag1:

Is a top 4 finish imperative for Dzeko? Obviously it would help, and ultimately, I think we'll get it. It sounds like the club has the funds to purchase the player (considering we tried already - so we don't need the funds from direct CL qualification), and he seemed to be quite willing to come to Juventus when we were Europa bound...

Playing for a big club in the midst of opening a new stadium has got to be appealing. Being a prime factor in the rejuvenation of a great club has got to be appealing.

Anyway, we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves (obviously). We certainly need some reinforcements in January, and we're not even close to a sure thing for that top 4 finish...

I think if Wolfsburg make CL and offer Juve enough money they might be able to lure him from Turin but only if they pay him more. We don't let go of our assets very easily.

To compare with Torres (because there was a lot of talk about who people would prefer), Džeko has played the last 72 consecutive games in the Bundesliga, he's 3rd on the list of most consecutive games played, and the only striker in the top 5.

1. Frank Roost (HSV / golman), 128 nastupa
2. Christian Gentner (Stuttgart / veznjak), 102 nastupa
3. Edin Džeko (Wolfsburg / napadač) 72 nastupa
4. Manuel Neuer (Schalke / golman), 53 nastupa
5. Philipp Lahm (Bayern / desni bek), 50 nastupa
6. Neven Subotić (Borussia D. / branič), 43 nastupa
6. Felix Bastians (Freibrug / branič), 43 nastupa
6.Thomas Müller (Bayern / napadač), 43 nastupa
9. Marco Reus (Borussia M. / veznjak), 40 nastupa
9. Jörg Butt (Bayern / golman), 40 nastupa...
