Don't get me wrong here... (especially you, Hustini)..

I rate Dzeko, I really do. But I just don't see him fitting into Conte's system. He can't do much other than finish. And please don't give me the "same story with Trezeguet"-argument, because Trezeguet was twice the striker Dzeko is, which justified him being that way. The addition to the Conte-system that would be absolutely PERFECT would be Cavani (even more so than RVP). Cavani is proven in the 3-5-2/4-3-3 and works his ass off for the team as well as being a clinical striker. Dzeko is a very good finisher, but I think Conte's way of playing calls for a Cavani type of player.

Frankly, if we can't get Cavani or RVP, I'm starting to feel that it's better to call off the entire "superstar purchase" and just go for Destro. I'd hate to see us spend tons of money again on a player we don't really need. It could set us back big time. Look at the milanoclubs now with their financial problems, can't even compete in the mercato anymore ffs.

Dzeko cant do much more than finish? WTF? Have u ever watched the guy play?
I know that he does other stuff, but I'm just not as impressed by that stuff as I am with his finishing. I've been left very impressed with his finishing abilities many times, but there's just something about his style that I feel isn't suited to Conte's system.

In that case, I am dead to you as well :hustini:

I agree with Jem. Dzeko on his own, while still being an upgrade, is not that massive upgrade, that star player that will allow us to make that leap in quality.

Dzeko and JoJo/Suarez however is :tuttosport: :tuttosport: :tuttosport: Unlikely to happen tho

With Giovinco back, we won't get another SS, you can be certain about that. Dzeko's wages are way to high for us as well.

I bet we'll sign Destro and Borriello on the cheap.

dzeko scored 20 goals and assisted 10 goals this season.. that in only 2942 minutes...
dzeko scored 23 goals and assisted 7 goals last season.. in 4216 minutes
dzeko scored 32 goals and assisted 15 goals the season before that... in 4823 minutes..

he has a better goal/assist per x minutes ratio than any other striker we currently have.. i'd say if we sell melo, elia krasic and co, we have enough money to buy him... and we should!

That would be so disappointing and underwhelming. We will fail to break teams down in the CL, and will end up being embarrassed. Teams who want to go far need a top marksmen. Giovinco, Destro, Vucinic, Matri, and Quag is a very underwhelming front line, and unfitting of a Serie A champion. Look at Milan's front line FFS! Far far superior to ours!
