I rest my case. You are blinded by your love for Dzeko. He looks very cumbersome and is not as dynamic as the other players I mentioned. He's also not the most creative forward around, or one that possesses a particularly impressive technical skill set.

Suarez is not prolific in front of goal, but he has better vision, ball control, pace, and is pretty much far more complete than Dzeko.

The same applies to Higuain, who is more prolific than Dzeko.

RVP, let's not even go there.

As for Cavani, you do have a valid point, but the man was a beast in both Serie A, and the CL this season. He is clinical in front of goal, deceptively quick, and dynamic as fuck. He is also a tireless worker and runs/fights hard for every ball.

Trezeguet wasn't the most creative forward either but look what he accomplished.

Dzeko does his job as good as them. What is a strikers job? To put the ball in the back of the net and he does it pretty fucking good job of it.

4. Dzeko (because he is more of a goalscorer)

There are a lot of people, well maybe just one, (Looking at you, B81), who say that Dzeko as the major signing would be a great disappointment.


My question is, if he is part of a larger group of true quality players that come along, would anyone really complain all that much?


Just because Juve is (allegedly) going to be flush with cash, doesn't necessarily mean that they have to, or should, spend it all at one time.


This is the first, and probably only time that I am going to give a transfer wish list, and I am going to do it based on what I feel might be reasonable expectations.

Look Hust, Trezeguet had Nedved and Del Piero, and before that Zidane and a Del Piero in his prime providing him with assists galore. He didn't have to carry the team. Moreover, he was a far more prolific goalscorer than Dzeko.

Dzeko can't be the fulcrum/focal point of the team. If we get a JoJo or Suarez to supply his lazy slow ass with assists, then so be it. If not, he's going to struggle to score, as he can't create his own shot, or operate as a dynamic/functional striker outside the box. He's quite static and lacking in creativity. I prefer the Suarez/Benzema type of player.

However, if he comes here as a secondary signing, as a complement to a true "Top Player" then I'd welcome him with open arms.

The likelihood of injury (add age there as well) was in reference to why RVP ranks low on my list.

I'm ok with that, but would argue that there is no Top Player there. A lot of promise, and potential, but no Top Player. Hence, why I'd be disappointed. The board promised that elusive Top Player, and if we don't manage to acquire one, I'd be gutted based on the promises made by the board. However, I reiterate that the Mercato posted above is a satisfying one. Very solid with lots of promise and potential.

Is that just last season? Remember that Dzeko came off the bench late in a lot of those games. He didn't really get to start many games.

I never claimed that Suarez is the better goalscorer. Do you even read any of the shit I write? Geez man.

I said Dzeko is more prolific (yes, he's a better goalscorer than Suarez), but Suarez is better at everything else. He is more dynamic, has more pace, is far more creative, and hence is the more complete footballer.
