It's all about where the wingers are in relation to Vlahovic, they're making runs far ahead and running on to goal. Our wingers are not like that so Vlahovic has nobody to pass forward to. Since he's the main focal point, he usually has two defenders on him, if our wingers are more advanced, then the defenders will back off and give Vlahovic more space.

With overlapping and actual wide players, Vlahovic would be far better. It's basic football and Motta can't seem to figure it out, so I can't see any strikers coming in that will do better than Vlahovic.
I get what you are saying but no. We've seen him have plenty of chances to pass the ball to an overlapping player but he either messes up his first touch, takes to long to control the ball or messes up the pass.

Dusan has lost his touch on the ball. Most of the clips in that video could be offsides as well. I never saw anything but poacher in him. He's a Cavani type of player and when you take away the confidence and consistency in scoring goals he looks utterly useless. I would swap with United for Zirkzee+€30m if they are up to that deal

Cavani type? He couldnt be further away from this type of player. Cavani was a complete striker, he could provide for himself and his teammates, he had good dribbling and ball control. He could have easily played on the wing as well. His workrate was incredible.

It's so simple.

Sack Motta. Tell Dusan we're bringing in an attack-minded coach and the offense will be built around him scoring the goals and regaining his best form. If we wants to leave fine, but if he wants to stay and recover his level of prestige his best bet is here, but at a much more sensible wage.

If he doesn't want to renew with us it's moot anyway but we would be total morons if we either

A) Sell him without a proper plan for how we're going to improve the team
B) Continue to try and shoe horn awful football into an expensive squad of talented players.

Option C is the way forward - work with him and the rest of the team to get the best out of them all. On paper we should be winning the scudetto, real talk.
