The concern is he has completely stopped playing on the shoulder and now he plays with his back to goal.

An even more bizarre tactic considering we have no midfield runners who follow up and target man knock downs.

He really looks like a player that has lost his mojo. It’s a shame Milik is injured because he had been a far more effective player for us

Haven't seen his thread get bumped in a while. How is he doing these days?

Either way, I am sure that Allegri's style doesn't suit Vlahovic and he will do better next season with a new coach(?). But man, he has some pretty obvious weaknesses.

Why is it that he struggles against every single big physical, man marker? He can't control a ball and his hold-up play is still nowhere where it should be. It's getting to a point where I am starting to feel more comfortable with Milik as a 9.
This is the most worrying. He is a big guy but loses out on all duels with defenders. It's like his reading of the game if way off

Kean scores a goal every 155 minutes; Milik scores once in 165 minutes; Vlahovic has a goal in 187 minutes this year.
He manages to have worse goal stats than Milik and fuckin' Kean!

Concern ought to be suspended until we actually have a proper coach.
Exactly, thank you.

I would get worried if we have a proper set up with quality midfield and gameplan that creates lots of chances for him that he misses.

Instead we have no clue and barely create chances outside set pieces (check how many of our recent non di maria goals are from set pieces) and hopeful crosses with 3-4 defenders all focusing on Dusan. We are a team that just waits for di maria and now chiesa to do everything for us.

Completely thankless job for Dusan, who is mainly a poacher scorer with limited on ball skills, to come down too much and be active in build up to feel involved. We can criticise him for lack of ability outside of finishing, but I cant stress enough how misused he is in Allegris inept and Conservative football ideas. Ffs Dusan just gets random crosses vs these deep defences.

And oh not to mention he has basically been injured since October and just got back.

And on top of that, his off the ball movement is pathetic.

This is a legit valid critique, he needs to be better at varying his movements. Its often to easy for 2-3 opponents defenders to zone in on him he just keeps central positioning waiting for service. Needs to be more unpredictable with movement.

Wouldn’t bat an eyelid if we sold him in the summer and got our money back. He’s had the kind of Kulusevski effect. Will probably be good elsewhere but he doesn’t fit here

How about we instead just get rid of the outdated inept coach who can't get the best out of quality young players who defenitely thrive elsewhere?

My worry for Vlahovic is miniscule outside of the huge price he came for.

My worry for Allegri is sleep depriving, counting the days until he is fired so we can see a proper gameplan with ideas again.

But something tells me this point deduction is perfect alibi for allegri and they will use it as excuse to keep him next season.

Our 3 CFs, Milik is best at linking up play, Kean is best at off ball movement, Dusan is best at finishing. And all of their on ball skills are subpar.

This sounds like we split Tevez into 3 parts, alloting to each of them one specific strength. But the combination of them is still inferior than Tevez because the on ball skills are lost.

Tevez was a monster and I'd love to have him back, but idk if he was that clinical/good at finishing though.

But yeah, give me one Tevez for all the strikers we have and it's a deal.

Oh that's cool man.
But can you just split Kean into several limbs?

I expect that Berna is the worst, that guy should be on similar numbers to Bonucci and Chiellini
I wonder about Osvaldo, Borriello, Bendtner, Anelka and perhaps even Toni. Although I think Toni's numbers might be ok. Plus he scored that incredible header from outside the box.

We really have had some proper stinker CFs

Damn dude thanks for doing all this, really interesting.

I remember everybody calling for Quag to get more minutes that season, and when you put it like this maybe he should have had them
