VLAHOVIC’ first season 38 match days vs
KAIO JORGE’s first season 23 match days.
(At game 23 Dušan played 68’ in 4 games)
Back then Coach was Stefano Pioli.

Back then Coach was Stefano Pioli.

I'll never forget that season and how much I hated Pioli for the way he treated Dusan. Giovanni Simeone was absolutely out of form in that season, his performances were embarassing and yet Vlahovic was given usually 5-10 minutes at the end of the games (and even that very rarely).
Then when fans started getting furious with Pioli for not giving Vlahovic a starting chance, he puts him in starting 11 in an attacking trio with Pjaca and Gerson (who both also sucked as much as Simeone that season). Of course, that didn't work and Dusan was barely visible that game so Pioli moved him back to the bench as if he was saying "see, I gave him a chance and he didn't took it".

Then in the winter Dusan demands to be moved to Viola's youth team in order to play more. Goes there, absolutely destroys every opponent and wins the youth Cup and then the rest is history - in the summer Fiorentina finally realized what a gem they had.

The most impressive thing about Vlahovic is that he scored 21 out of the 47 goals Fiorentina scored in total. Thats almost half of their goals. Same thing this season.

yeah, only joao pedro has a higher contribution (for a lot worse team though). that's impressive even if vlahovic was fiorentina's main penalty taker. he simply carried that team.

Amazing. Our highest contributor this season is Dybala at 21%. Vlahovic was at 41% this season with Fiorentina (45% last season)

Looking forward to see this guy play and start to gel, more than Ive been in last ten years hell maybe more..

more important signing than Tevez, Pogba, CR and dare I say Dybala.
If this guy doesn't suddenly develop psychological issues from the pressure and chokes (not likely) I don't see anything stopping that statement from turning out to be %100 true.

Dybala was nowhere as big signing as Tevez and even less Cr7.........relax yourself

I honestly would’ve preferred going in hard for midfielders instead of CR7, but he’s still one of biggest signings ever.
Can't remember what exactly I felt when we signed him, think I was excited but worried about the fee and salary.

In hindsight his transfer was a huge failure for us imo. Over the hill goat on wages oil clubs wouldn't have wanted to pay. So much money down the toilet.
