Just when everyone was signing him praises he then comes up with that lamentable first touch and miss… what’s worst is that given the result it will probably haunt him for a while, his reaction after it said it all, clearly knew he messed up inexcusably on a golden opportunity.

What kind of support he needed to control that pass from Kenny LOL
that was bad and he knew it

doesn't take away the good month he had before this game, but yesterday he was completely isolated up there. we were chicken shit in attack for the majority of the game, and despite those 10 shots or so we never threatened inda. one of those games when the quality of the two teams was bigger than the scoreline suggest

Yeah, sure, I was joking. Still, in a game like yesterday, you just have to make a better use of such chances. It was a very easy ball on his preferred foot, no excuses here.

He did bad on his only chance. But rest of game is not worth talking about. Nothing to do with him. We didn't come to play and he got nothing else to work with.

But no point overly focusing on one bad first chance, as annoying as it can be, when he had the best form in Europe past month after Kane pretty much.

He should enjoy the game
Other than his miss first touch chance in first half.

In 2nd half there is Kostic cross that miss as he runs too fast towards the goal. He is unmarked and He should know the angle of ball movement from Kostic cross yet he moves too fast forward to empty goal.

Another one is is poor attempt from Chiesa dribbling and pass. His shoot is too weak.

I like his grinta but like what Allegri said he should be more calmer and do his best and everything will come

He played too emotional and frustrated for rest of game after the yellow card. But it was understandable frustration even if its immature.

He sees himself as the talisman of the team (he is aslong as Chiesa keeps being too injured to take over as main guy), so he knows the pressure is extra on him. And facing opponents that outmatch us and him.

But he has more fight in him this season then last. Last season he used to give up and lose simple duels vs shit opponents. Plays harder and smarter this season, despite the shit first touch remaining.

Our insipid football gets exposed against quality teams. Our forwards feel it the most. Simple as that. Fucking clown Allegri is.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dusan leaves, some may be happy of the fee is favourable....my concern would be who replaces him. Indont see any striker in the world being able to play under these tactics and perform at the highest level and score week in week out against the better teams in Europe.

Money talks in this case… we are trying to reduce his wages by also increasing the number of years in his contract and the guy is probably not willing to take a significant pay cut while also committing to a project where money is tight and the future still unclear while facing constant pressure and criticism(sometimes warranted while other times not so much), but the fact is that such a renewal was always going to be difficult to pull off...

Plus he is likely on the shortlist of other ‘rich’ clubs that’ll be looking for a ST in the summer and they are maybe already working in the background to lure him away on even higher wages.

Still i don’t think that the renewal talks are completely over, nor that he is sure going to leave if it does not come to fruition, there might still be some twists and turns, but it’s obviously not going to be easy.

Club giving him a big salary before he kicked a ball is a problem, one inherited from the previous decision makers who seemed to be working on a super club budget.

I suppose he was "worth" that then in comparison to other new signings amd their salaries, strikers also cost a lot. If we're cutting costs then is he going to be one of those dropping 1m to re-sign for us? Lol seriously doubt it, so his future will always be in doubt. If we without Covid, CL disqualification etc then it wouldn't be much of an issue.

The club was desperate for a quality striker...we were never going to convince him to join without a super salary offer.
