I don't get the impressiveness of this thing. We pretty much met the asking price and made him one of the highest earners in the team at the age of 21.
I'm hoping he succeeds but this is indeed a very risky business
i agree in principle, but at the same time look at halaand. absolute monster we missed out on and now we have zero chance of signing. can't take the risk with missing out on another monster player like that.

the good news is we have a good track record in recent times of signing young forwards from smaller serie a teams for big prices. last one was dybala and he is one of the top scorers of all time at juve.

His numbers are exceptional. Great!

But can he contribute to build up? Honest question, have never seen him play..
yes. he's perfect modern targetman. only guys like ibra and harry kane in recent times are better

I know, I know, but I still don't get the rivalry, it's mostly one sided. That would be like, I don't know, Verona fans throwing a riot because they sold us a player.
Yeah but they arent the only ones.
Napoli consider us as their biggest rival and it also quite absurd.

IMO the only 2 teams who should call us a rival are Inter and Milan

By the way - Are we considered as a rival for Lazio as well?

Only reason to root for them is so they keep United out of the CL ranks lol.
Rooting for Arsenal over Spurs (Tootsie and Conte :inter: ) or United (gross in general). The scenes when Arsenal finally qualifies for CL again, and the absurd overconfidence of their fans, followed by the meltdown of a group stage exit will be delicious.

Although reading Jager and Hist’s endless excuses when Conte exits group stage to some small league minnow for the 4th time in 6 attempts would be pretty delightful too. :lol2:

I mean, Napoli I can see it because they were close to the Scudetto several years but we were just too strong. It's still a strong team, so, I could classify them as rivals if you twist my arm.

Real rivals only Milan and Merda imo. Outside of that, the rest are just annoying teams like Lazio and Roma that can take points off us. Fiorentina is still a mid table/relegation struggled depending on the season, not even on the level of Lazio.

Now, is Atalanta a rival?

On the Tottenham, Arsenal and Man U front...can't they just reduce the amount of English teams instead? I dislike them all. :p

They are the ones considering Juve a rival, I dont think we ever gave a shit about "rivalry" with the Napolis, Fiorentinas and Romas of the world.

They wish they were our rivals cause that would automatically mean they are equally or closely great as :J:

I don't understand the comparison to Schick.

Schick came into the limelight in the first place because he scored some wonder goals. His body of work was similar to Kulu's.

Vlahovic's growth trajectory is a bit different. Two years of 20+ goals behind him at the age of 21 is super impressive no matter which way you look at it.

Plus physically, he looks like an absolute stud with a high work ethic. The kind we've been missing since ages. Just need a physical beast in midfield too and we're good to go.

I have no doubt he's going to be a success here. After Haaland, he was comfortably the next best option we could sign.

Fully agreed, yet a sidenote: he has only really performed like this in 2021. We'll add 2022 to the list soon enough though.

I definitely think Allegri will want to see how Vlahovic plays with Dybala. So 442 will probably be used at least for that experiment.

When Scamacca arrives in the summer it's straight 442 all the way, baby.

There's no Scamacca - there really shouldn't be. We have other areas to focus on.

I'd love to see a 4-2-3-1 with Morata as a LW, Cuads on the right, and Dybala behind Vlahovic.

4-4-2 also looks like a possibility, and when Dybala needs a rest, we can go 4-3-3.

Morata as a winger? Did he ever play there before? I have a hard time seeing that work.

That being said he is a good counter attacker and Allegri made it work with Mandzu

In that 4231 who's the 4th midfielder that defends the left flank, Dybala or Morata? :D

Imo itll be much of the same 442 hybrid shit with Berna/Rabiot LM, Vlahovic/Dybs/Morata/Kean rotating upfront, Loca, Benta, Arthur covering the middle and Cuads/Kulu/McKennie RM.

As long as Dybs here, we're gonna be yearning for that 433 and never getting it.

Morata can track back. I honestly prefer seeing him in the starting lineup than any of our paraplegics in midfield.
