Don't you think he'd get a similar exposure and expectations if he came to Juve?
Easier transition id say, in italy/juve he is more or less a known value not that much pressure to prove himself, plus at juve he will get more time. Outside of juve, id say atletico madrid is also a good destination for him, but obviously less prestige and having to go to a different league.

Would you say Dzeko flopped in england? He also went to EPL a bit older
Dzeko never lived up to the promise he showed when he was at Wolfsburg. He never became the goal machine he was meant to be. This season has been his best since leaving Germany IMO. Goals aside, he's playing his role very well.

8 miliion per year = Ramsey
Bosman's get big salaries. Seems to be a kind of rule of thumb as illogical as it is when you really think about it. Maybe Cherubini is following that same stupid logic - he won't fork out both a huge transfer fee and a whopping salary to boot for a player who is way over priced. Reminds you of the false equivalence that's always drawn between Vlahovic and Haalaand. Haalaand has been scoring way more goals for a way longer period of time than Vlahovic.

How many goals did Amauri score the season before we bought him? 23 goals in 52 matches. Vlahovic is more red hot than Amauri ever was during his time at Palermo but still... 93 matches with Fiorentina - 43 goals. Then look at Haaland's stats - 53 matches, 53 goals at Dortmund; 16 matches, 17 at Salzburg and even before that at Molde, 39 matches, 14 goals. That's a safe bet you pay huge money for. Vlahovic is a very attractive gamble.

Dzeko was a beast at Roma as well, for a couple of years. Serie A top scorer (42 goals overall that season) for a 87pt team and then almost carrying them to a CL final with his goals. City was just the wrong choice for him, he wasted his prime there. He had his best years at 22-23 and 31-32 at VW and Roma. In between he was still class but never got a chance to fully showcase it. He had moments at City, was clutch in both their titles and was their best fit for Aguero out of their strikers. But he needed time to adapt to England, he needed continuity to develop and he needed trust from the coach. He got neither. He was treated the same way as Balotelli when he was clearly better and a better fit for Aguero. He scored 4 goals away at Tottenham (started the season 6 goals in 3 games) and gets benched the very next game. Every time he would go on a run of good games he would get benched for 1-2 or 3 games. It's just a wrong career choice that cost him greater recognition. If he went to Juve or Bayern he'd be recognized as one of the best CF of this era

93 games 43 goals - How many seasons?
Vlahovic wasnt always great so it irrelevant to take his previous stats as it reflects who he was and not who he is now.
Haaland was a goal machine right from the start so its ok.

I have been following Vlahovic for years and he started as a player with potential but he was missing sitters. He didnt get everything work out for him but he developed year after year.

In any case - If we can get Haaland its always best to get him but lets be real for a second - He is going to EPL - City or Chelsea IMO.

Vlahovic - He is overrated at the moment but he is still a great player regardless. Should we get him we will get an improvement over Morata.

I actually completely forgot about that Roma CL run. Full Olimpico. Surely produces the best atmosphere in football on occasions like that.

Yeah that's the point. Take the last 6 months of his career and he's one of the best strikers in the world. But it's not been long enough to warrant the prices that have been suggested. Feels like the hype is getting into Haalaand/Mbappe territory. He lacks something they have too. As well as scoring and assisting a lot, technically, they're both freaks. Haalaand reminds me a lot of Ibrahimovic. You might say Mbappe, Henry or something. Good technique isn't really something a player can lose or unlearn

Vlahovic isn't bad on the ball but he's a classic striker. He's very tenacious, he moves well off the ball, he knows where the goal is and he's a calm finisher. I reckon those kinds of players have more to prove. It's takes a little bit more time to know if you're looking at a Pazzini or a Shevchenko until you realise that they're not going to stop finding the net. But that's the market. Clubs have money to burn and they're not going to wait around and miss out.

Juve are almost back where they were in 2010. We can't splash the cash anymore and even back then, Marotta spent big on proven guarantees like Higuain. If Vlahovic thinks he's an 8M dollar man and his fee blows out, don't even bother.
