Who said he is connected to Xabi? Xabi will be ours nontheless, if Drenthe is the suprise, the rumour said they will reveal Xabi AND a suprise player, so it has nothing to do that classy mofo (seriously cant wait to see him in our shirt).

And having a young explosive and skillfull winger in our team, is just what we need. What we have isnt enough as we found out last season.

This is actually a very good point, and something that not alot of people are talking about.

If you look at it, 3 of our wingers are on the wrong side of thirty, and the fourth one is always injured. To be more specific a right winger is what we need. Giovinco will cover the left flank for us so that's good. Sali is useful utlility for both flanks, and De Ceglie is able to cover the Left wing well too. Right wing though has me worried. If Camo is going to have injury problems like last season then we should be a little concerned. While he still has a lot to offer, he is turning 32 and we should start looking for some young blood to groom as an eventual starter in 2 years.

I just think that if Drenthe joins that means Giovinco will not get alot of playing time and i want Giovinco to get as much playing time as he can. will he get enough playing time what yall think???

What is this about a surprise? Did Gigli say we would be getting a surprise or something? And this loaning this is crap. Unless we have the option to buy like we did with Stendardo and now with knezevic, it's shit. We are not a damn feeder club to give Real's young players playing time and experience and turning them into overall better players.

Indeed, thats why I said loan only acceptable if there is buy option. If it was a truly rejected player, it wouldnt matter if we loan him because they dont want him latter still. But Drenthe is someone Real believes in, and dont want to give up on. We should only get him under the assurances we can buy him. Or just buy him instead.

Believe me, you dont have to worry about this. He will get enough playing time for sure. And most importantly, we NEED players like Drenthe regardless, so thats the a priority regardless.

And regarding your Stankovic question, there are very few here who want him to come. Even those who say he would be useful depth arent too sold on him, and probably dont want him despite considering it.

Juve look to Drenthe
Friday 4 July, 2008
The latest star to be linked with Juventus is Dutch Under-21 international midfielder Royston Drenthe.

The Old Lady’s hunt for a midfielder has been ongoing for over a month and a number of names have been suggested.

The most likely of these remains Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso, but no deal has been agreed as yet, leaving the Press free to speculate on alternatives.

Real Madrid man Drenthe has struggled to settle at the Bernabeu and reports state that Juve are considering bringing him in on a season loan.

Merengues Coach Bernd Schuster is said to be keen to sent Drenthe out to gain experience because he isn’t expecting the rising star to feature in the first team this season.

There are whispers that Bianconeri officials have flown to Madrid to discuss the left-winger who developed at Feyenoord.

A move for Drenthe would not necessarily rule out advances for Alonso because the Dutchman could be used to fill in for Pavel Nedved on the left side, but he could also be given a chance in a more central role.

I'd go for Grosso. Really, if we get Xabi and Grosso, we could deem this to be a successful summer mercato. Throw in Ivanovic and Drenthe, and it's perfection. Unlikely, but still.

Drenthe would really trouble Giovinco's future and his chances in our team.
If we finally offload Marchionni and need another winger, then i guess he would be useful.
But we first we need to find our CM starter and then a LB starter, so far we have fine tuned the places that were already covered and we ignored our real problems!
