There are tuns of talented players out there, very few of them become stars. Like I said, apart from the under-21 tournament he has very little to show for. Don't get me wrong, I like him, but we could use that money wiser. If we add that to what we offered for Milito, we'll have him by tomorrow. We allready have a lot of talented players running around on loan.

FC Barcelona have entered the race to sign Dutch starlet Royston Drenthe from Feyenoord and believe that they are his first choice.

The Catalan outfit lodged a bid on Friday and have been told that he wants to move to Camp Nou, according to a report in El Periódico.

Real Madrid have also made an offer, along with Premiership outfit Chelsea and the competition is set to be a fierce one for the highly-rated 20-year-old.

Feyenoord are prepared to sell for as little as €6m as they are desperate to raise funds having failed to qualify for Europe.

Chelsea's offer would see them buy Drenthe and loan him back to Feyenoord, while Madrid have also made it clear that they would ship him out for a season.

Barça have the upper hand as they would put him straight into their first team squad under the watchful eye of compatriot Frank Rijkaard.

That has given the Blaugrana the upper hand in any deal for the players who was named as the Player of the Tournament as he helped the Netherlands to European Under-21 Championhips glory recently.

Feyenoord have yet to responed to any of the offers, but technical director, Peter Bosz, confirmed that they have received plenty of interest, although they have not given hope of persuading him to stay.

"Big clubs have got concrete interest in him, among those is Real Madrid," he said.

"We will watch and wait with Royston and see when he is back from holiday. We would like to keep him."

mate no offence but you are the most biased member in these boards,honestly..
i guess uve never seen molinaro play?

oh give me a break drenthe having a good u21 championship doesnt make him a good player, molinaro was one of serie A's hottest prospect last season, just unfortunate that despite his call up for italy, the match against romania never took place

He is not Juve quality yet! He maybe played 2 or 3 good matches last season with Feyenoord and 3/4 good matches at the u21 championship , Maybe in the future he will be Juve material but we dont need him right now.

It's not. But it is insanely huge for a guy who is young and unproven on more than one tournament on the youth stage.
meh maybe but just looking at the talent of the guy im 80% confident that he will be a superstar, plus feyenord use him as a lb and he is obviously a left winger. Nani and anderson are less proven than drenthe and they cost £15+ each, i think we should take the risk and he could learn off neddy 4 a year, what better tutor for a left winger?

Molinaro didnt exactly set the serie a on fire with siena, did he...?anyway i'm not saying drenthe is better,as all i've seen from him is the U21 euro's..

but let me get this straight...tell me if you didnt say any of these..ok?

Molinaro> Drenthe
Nocerino> Mavuba
Palladino> RVP
Giovinico > Fabregas

sounds like bias to me..

well he obviously must of set siena alight if it caught the attention of donadoni, or at least doing sumthing right :p

molinaro is probably better than drenthe.

the rest are incomparable mainly because they are different players and position

Real Madrid is going for Drenthe...

It seems player would have to cost approx 8mln
