The captain will be alright, I'm sure.

Juventus will be able to cope with his absence, given it is still the early part of the season.

With Miccoli and Di Vaio at the club, we shall be OK for the first group stage of the Champions League as well as the early games of the Serie A.

I would be more worried of Del Piero is out for the second half of the season.

Who knows, mayb giving Del Piero a rest now may prove to be a blessing in disguse for the latter part of the season.

We can also use it as a chance to rotate the squad and give others a chance to impress.

Forza Juve,

Tacca03
very optimistic i like it! :D

Actually prepare for the worst cos this morning they're saying it might even be 2 months.

Anyway I wouldn't worry too much; we have Miccoli and DV who can step up in his place and as like last year, we can win the matches with or without DP ;)

If you think about it, DP gets injured once a season, so maybe it's good that he got injured so early in the season cos we will need him at the end more than at the start.

:wallbang: i actually already preparing for the worst when i saw the match.... but my worst would only go to 4 or maybe 5 weeks.. 2 months is a heartbreaker... to think that DP always took his time to find his form after each injury.....

We might still be doing well (or even doing great!) without DP. But I do wish him luck and get well soon since he has so much to offer....

So my point is, it's not the end of the world but plssssssssssssss do not say cruel things like "oh well, we don't need him...we have micolli bla bla bla..." it sounds not human at all. He got injured while fighting for Juve didn't he??

    damn:(

it was obvious that he overstretched his hamstring and where the hamstring is concerned you don't wanna rush things,it is the most delicate of injuries and can become a constant problem if you don't rest it.but based on his form i'd have to say that this injury has come at the worst possible time.

but having said that i'm pretty excited about miccoli having his first real run of matches with juve:cool:unless lippi does the unthinkable and plays dv with trez like he did last season when dp was out:groan:

its not really unthinkable... with respect to DP's injury ,i am happy for Di Vaio coz i think he deserve it for the preseason he had... miccoli will come in for camo... so there is no prob in that.

I wouldn't be worried about that. what happened to we have more depth now talk? and like u guys said Miccoli needs his chance as well. and by the way, have you people noticed that all our matches last year without dp how nedved became more and more of a leader he is now. even in Roma's game I actually noticed him in the game after DP left. I recall someone in this forum said last year that Nedved needed Dp injury to shine. maybe this year Di Vaio, Miccoli, or even Nedved again needs this chance.

Yeah no need to worry, we have enough depth to cover any injury (except maybe that of Zambrotta and Buffon ).

Remember last year without DP we passed through our best period, winning 8 consecutive league games ;)

I actually think the injury might be due to over working. i mean they have played many matches recently and perhelps overworked muscles leave them more prone to injury??
Yes too many muscolar injuryes in Juventus and also in other big teams... and schitty FIGC to help the situation want to add 2 teams to serie A :fero:
If they want to care about players healt (doping, injutiyes) they have to reduce the matches!!!

Schame that now also Miccoli is out, but looks like he's almost recovered.
With him + DV we are not suppose to soffer DP forfait too mutch.

I just read on Juventus.com that DP has a 2nd degree muscle tear, and will be out for at least 5 weeks.

It's in Italian, and my Italian isn't what it used to be, but I could pick out the important words.
