i think this is a player that lost his confidence to not starting, then got his confidence further shot with the penalty.

it's not too late to recover. hopefully this mckennie rb expirement allowes his to start in midfield

The lack of confidence seems to have got the better of him atm, just can’t be bothered to do anything right under pressure.

Needs to wake up soon, won’t completely give up on him just yet but it sure isn’t looking too promising.

He's a good player, he's proven it at Villa, but something clearly isn't right atm. Pretty unprofessional if he's either not physically or mentally prepared to play after a few weeks of the season.

The thing for us as fans is that for the money you expect a starting player and he's taking the slowest adjustment into the first team that I've ever seen, like he's some green kid.

That said, a Brazilian coming from England to Juve could always go two ways. He might have a mediocre first few months or even season then a great second year, but most things in football are looked at on a weekly basis now and there's no hiding. We're lucky there are other players who can fill in for him.

Too early to write him off even with how bad he was today. Talent is there and some guys take longer to acclimate to a new league. Tbf that penalty was a harsh call too, he was just protecting his face.

He had an awful game, but I agree its not a penalty. Terrible refereeing.

doesn’t seem to find any ways to contribute at all. Hope that changes cuz that would be an expensive flop.

Why reward him for such a performance?
I don’t even know what he does to be honest. Just waltzes around the pitch looking to make fancy plays like a street walker. He’s like a football slut.

This is a weird case. He seems to have the skills but looks totally lost on the field and error prone as hell like if he was taken straight out of the primavera to play this game.

Needs to fucking chill and get things done. Ill give him chances. in fact i want to see him starting...becauyse i cant believe that what im seeing is the best he can do.

Disastrous game.
