I wasn't around when Arthur first came. How big a chance did he get with us? Like was he binned immediately? I'm wondering if it's a case where Motta has faith and gives him plenty of time and told to ignore pressure from mistakes. Sort of like we can create a gem out of a waste of space by having faith and giving time.

Imo that's the right approach, but only if we're sure he's got what it takes, and that's what I heard when he first arrived.
im more optimistic about luiz, arthur looked like a bum from the beginning, he had almost zero flashes. Luiz at least has had some flashes. He actually played well outside of that idiotic penalty last game. But he also seems limited positionally, which will hurt his chance of getting opportunities

Monchi tells Sky: “Douglas Luiz is a great player and a good guy. He was a key player for us, he played 90% of the games available”.

“I’m sure he will get in good condition, step by step and he will become an important player for Juventus”.

its also harder to judge players coming off the bench in the middle of a game, and so far he’s only started once. Should start him vs lazio. Keeping him hidden on the bench isn’t gonna get him out of his funk, and they need the skill set he theoretically provides, so burying him isn’t a good idea either. Not yet anyway.
