Option we have on him has already been exercised. He stays.

It was a loan-option, but Rummenigge confirmed a few months back that we will certainly exercise said option, iirc (unofficially, may have been closer to a gentleman's loan-obligation).

Don't think Juventus ever made an official statement, but for all intents and purposes, he's ours now. We're definitely exercising that.

Yes, that is the strategy tier 2 teams (financially speaking) have to use to keep up with the big boys and no one seems to do it better than Juve.

Bayern took James from Real Madrid. There's no shame of taking world class talent, when its not being used. Real Madrid are notorious for it; Sneijder, Etoo, Robben, Cambiasso etc. all of whom went on to win the CL. If we keep doing as well in the CL, then we should be able to attract quality players.

You mean Pogba? :mut: I think he might lack the discipline for our current setup. We don't really have Vidal, Pirlo, prime Marchisio anymore to baby sit him. Maybe if Dybala leaves he could play CAM in 4-2-3-1

Kante may leave Chelsea but no way we can afford him. He will go for mega bucks to a richer team.

Would have been amazing and think we tried. I vaguely remember mentioning him as a top target a few summers back we probably just couldn't afford/ he didn't want to come. Isn't he known hardcore Madridista?

The early bird gets the worm. We need to be braver in our signings; our reputation is growing in Europe, the big players will surely be interested. Real Madrid still have loads. Heck Napoli convinced Higuaín to join them from Real, we should be braver this summer.

Feel we didn’t push enough. If we put up a big enough sum we could have gotten him as he was pretty out of favor in Ancelottis last year iirc.

Not sure if he’s a Madridsta or not.
