His face looks like a chimpanzee in this picture! I don't read nor do I understand portugese. So it says he is actually completing his physical today? Or just a rumor coming out of brazil?

Mattioni "has Juve medical" Friday 9 January, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brazilian talent Felipe Mattioni is “undergoing a medical with Juventus,” according to his agent, suggesting a transfer is imminent.

The defender has been linked with the Bianconeri for some time and there were reports today that Milan had intercepted the negotiations with Gremio.

However, his agent Mino Raiola informed Esporte Interativo that it never progressed.

“I can say that the player is undergoing a medical and that Juventus were the only club to make an official bid for him, but there is nothing certain about it right now.”

The 20-year-old wing-back was spotted in Turin today for a meeting with Juve sporting director Alessio Secco (pictured).

Gremio are eager to keep hold of Mattioni, but could fold when faced with a 7m Euro offer.

Something fishy is going on, typical of the agent (anyone remember how Camo behaved? Everyone remember Zlatan ofcourse), how can he have a medical with us, however unofficial, when we havent agreed terms with the club? He bought most parts of the players rights from the club, but still need their final approval. I mean, using the italian passport thing as an excuse to come to Italy (he went there to get his passport, not to sign with us) to get a deal with us, under circumstances like that, is quite iffy.

Maybe Gremio's officials are recanting just to save face with their fans before its too late, but they are saying he isnt going anywhere blabla, and that they havent made any deal, hence how is he doing a medical BEFORE a deal?

It's all seems dodgy to me.

FIFA should ban any entity other than football clubs owning players contracts, because agents getting too involved just makes things messy.

In an ideal world that would be nice, but most south american countries need the money. I hate the fact that agents can buy players contracts but that is business.

The South American clubs would make more money if they just sold players straight to Europe, rather than selling to an agent first who take a large chunk, if not all, of the transfer fee.

Not all young prospect make it. There was this player (who's name I can remember) in Corinthians who was being touted as a future star but failed once he started playing for the XI. There is the temptation of making the quick profit.

You mean Lulinha I would think. He is still 18, but yeah, youth level and senior level is different, another proof of that. He was a Ronaldo in youth level.
