Let me get this straight:all the trouble with Raiola because of a 20 years old kid who barely played in the Brazilian Leauge(13 games)?He proved shit so far and barely somebody knows him.From what I've heard he's good offensively(just 1 assist though)but defensively not that great.I'm not sure if he's worth 7 m €.
I'd prefer a RB who is stronger defensively than offensively simply because we don't need a Dani Alves type of RB due to our 4-4-2.

He is an exciting prospect, I still hope we can complete this signature. So many people complain that our full backs can't do anything offensively, and what they do defensively needs improvement. I don't understand now that we are finally after a young RB that can provide something in attack that our two outside backs have failed to be consistent in all year, people don't want him because we don't know much about him.

I'll ask you again: Did you watch any Gremio match to call him an exciting prospect or are you talking out of your ass?
And another thing:I'm not against bringing in young promising players and I'm not against bringing him neither.I solely expressed my doubts because of his little amount of games he played in(13) and the pretty high fee(7 m €).
Plus I do care about a player's character and don't want a player who causes trouble.They can go where they belong:Inter and Meeeelan.

I am not able to see brazilian league games where I live, but I have seen extended highlights of Gremio with mattioni included. I take you have, obviously other wise you wouldnt be asking me this. Why would I want to be talking out of my ass? From what I have seen (although little) of him, I think he has some potential, especially compared to what we have in our squad right now. Of course there are others out there I would much rather prefer but we arent really linked or making an effort for anyone else now are we? Second, if this guy can add a new dimension to our game then yes I would like to see what he is capable of, but since we arent linked with anyone else and all we have for right back is grygera, olof fucking melberg, and jonathan zebina (maybe someday when he isnt injured), frankly I am happy to be associated with a new right back that has shown some decent potential.
I would much rather take a gamble, trusts our scouts than continue to try and win something with the RBs we do have, albeit are doing well this season. Sooner or later our board is going to have to make some kinda of risk in a player. Unless you think we can affrod to buy every player on your wish list...

All these other huge european teams have scouts all over south america and take risks in bringing over player, why should we sit back and wait for one to fall in our lap?

No one seems sure on how much exactly he will cost either, especially with who is agent is. On top of that, if you believe what you read in the news when other major clubs in europe have been known to be interested in the guy then that only makes your arguement weaker. So we arent the only ones interested. I prefer to believe what I have seen with my own eyes and trust my clubs scouts. You cant be against him because he isnt "proven" in brazil because gio isnt even yet "proven" in italy, but people believe the potential he has. How is this guy any different? Look at Iago, people are excited about him but he is no where near being proven in italy, rather only because he tears it up at the youth level.
