Some of you are confused about the situation, I’ll try to clear some things up.

OFFICIAL
Cessioni temporanee
Calciatore Società cessionaria Provento annuo
Domenico Criscito Genoa Cricket and FC 1.000

La società ha ceduto al Genoa and Cricket FC il diritto di opzione per la cessione in compartecipazione del calciatore ad un valore di €5.500 migliaia

http://www.juventus.com/site/eng/FIN_pubblicazionifinanziarie.asp?myyear=20082009

ENGLISH OFFICIAL
Genoa Cricket and FC have purchased Domenico Criscito on loan for 1,000,000 in annual revenues

The company (Juventus) sold to Genoa Cricket and FC the option right for the player-sharing disposal of the football player (50%) for a price of 5,500,000€.

http://www.juventus.com/site/ita/FIN_pubblicazionifinanziarie.asp?myyear=20082009

NON-OFFICIAL

What we know from both Alessio SECCO and Enrico PREZIOSI press statements
1. Preziosi has indicated that he will purchase the 50% of Domenico Criscito’s contract from Juventus for the fixed amount of 5.500.000 million Euros
2. BOTH parties have indicated that if Genoa use this option, the is an agreement bound within that option that Domenico Criscito will remain at Genoa for season 2009/2010 (non-official, however both Secco and Preziosi have said this, Preziosi has said that he’ll 99% be a Genoa player next season (http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/juventus/?action=read&idtmw=154666)
whilst Secco has indicated we could be in the market for a LB if Genoa exercise their option to purchase 50% of Domenico Criscito in which case THIS INDICATES THERE IS AN AGREEMENT THAT IF GENOA BUYS THE 50% OF CRISCITO THEN THE PLAYER REMAINS AT GENOA, unless we buy the 50% we had just sold

What will happen?

1. Genoa buy 50% of Domenico Criscito’s contract from Juventus for the fixed amount of 5.500.000 million Euros, at which case there is a bound agreement*** that Criscito will remain at Genoa until the other 50% is sold by either parties
2. Genoa buy 50% of Domenico Criscito from Juventus, then Juventus purchase the 50% they had agreed to sell Genoa FOR NO FIXED AMOUNT, it will then be up to the discretion of the parties to negotiate a fee of the 50% that Juventus had sold in the option outlined above

win-win situation, 11mil for Criscito is really more than his market value IMO. and if he is coming back then thats definatly a posative thing.

it all depend on the player we buy to replace him.

Are you drunk or smth?? Can you find another promising defender, of Criscito's quality and price near that price?? Because we have a hard time finding one...

The sad thing about this deal, is that they can buy the 50% and keep him the player!
To get him back, we need to buy it back right away!

If criscito can express his desire to ome back to turin then(hopefully) and genoa decide to allow him, then we will have a quality lb/cb for free...allowing us to spend whatever funds allocated on lb on a rb as well....allowing us to fix our wingback problem and add more depth to our defence...which was a major problem in some parts of last season

what if we sell to Genao that 50% can we buy him when his contract expires... Come on Moggi, step up and teach those guys how to make deals only with a phone call or sms :D

:agree:
i don't know why everyone wants that promising young fullback to be Italian, Criscito is good but not worth 11m, while Felipe is just amazing and can come cheaper.

Certainly not. Barcelona is trying to get this guy, too. If they just make one bid, there is no chance to compet with Barca.
And yes, i would spend 11m for a promising young italian fullback like Criscito.

Totally agree. 11 million on Criscito is definitely worth it, much more so than 6-7 million on Dossena, if the rumors are to be believed, with Secco saying him and Grosso are not names that are far away from our wish-list :inter: :moan: :sigh:

Hey, we wouldn't even be in this mess, or discussing this issue had our board been smarter in dealing with the kid. Fucking idiots!

Win win situation? Are you serious?

The kid was our fucking player FFS. And now we might have to pay for another let-back? One who doesn't have the future that Criscito does?

Some Juventus fans are frankly not the smartest of individuals. Neither is the management.

 If we have to pay to get him back, then we should. However, the fucking board, those idiots, were stupid to let him go on a co-ownership in the first place, particularly since the kid never had a proper chance to prove himself. Effin retards!

Well we've all got PHD's in hindsight now don't we. I personally didn't think he had it in him. He shouldn't have been a center back anyway.
